Depends on how you define "need". We're thin at ILB, which is where Hollins projects for us, so we technically need him more. Mattingly is a versatile kid who could play OLB or TE, so his commitment is more like an insurance policy than filling a direct need.

Looks like you're right. The services have him listed as either an OLB or WDE. Surprised we're still going after undersized ROLBs.

In that case, I'd rather keep Mattingly.

The staff did say they like their outside linebackers to have length to them but I think will Shembo they are realizing they may not need that much length or there are exceptions. I see Hollins very much like Shembo, Very aggressive edge rusher that's relentless.

Yes Hollins falls into that best available group. My understanding is that he would basically take Mattingly's spot. However I'm not sure how high he would be on the staff's board. For instance if he wanted to verbal now could he and I don't know the answer to that.

Plans on visiting but nothing officially set up yet, ISD believes we can make a great impression on him and be a factor if we choose to be. As of right now, Hollins is still solid with UCLA but that could change with visits.
