the ONE time I bet the spread...
Don't matter, De'Anthony Thomas is IMO more dangerous.
Daniels didn't come back in either, did he?
IMO.... BK very conservative today. Needed style points. I just don't get it.

I think he thinks that because of corrupt coaches and biased media, we won't be getting into the NCG unless someone loses. If that is the case, then why go crazy with play calls? We can win without showing much or risking anything (especially injuries).
Just take care of business in the most likely direct way of winning. That's what we did today and I expect to do the same next week. Then we open it up against USC.
That's how I played it in my head, at least.

Guys, the Human voters were never going to start voting us ahead of Oregon or KState. Only thing that matters is winning.
But why do we eat so much damn clock!!!! He even said other the day that that we not getting off enough plays. We should have had at least 3 more possessions.
Very ugly... I think the offense is getting worse. A win is a win but its damn ugly!
Really? They converted their first 12 3rd downs. Thats pretty good.
Notre Dame has also started 10-0 'only' eight times..... Really??
I didn't see Nix throw a punch...was that just me?! Anyways, style points matter now more than anything at this point...we got put our foot on teams' throats!!
As I have said before, "getting more plays" is coach-speak for "winning time of possession". Spread nerds will try to say ToP doesn't matter, but numbers don't lie... ToP and Amount of Plays are not mutually exclusive.
Both are recipes for success and if you do one, you are probably doing the other.
If we increased our ToP from our already pretty good number, then we would see those big scoreboards. But we aren't. Our defense is staying on the field too long and we aren't running enough plays on offense to keep games uptempo.
That just means they were good on third down.
I agree with PSUhater, our offense is improving. It's not good yet, but it's better than it was at the beginning of the season for sure.
He said TOP was good, but we weren't running enough plays for how long we were holding it. Meaning we are running too much off the play clock on every play.
I see, I misunderstood you. That is a problem, but that has little to do with executing after the snap. That is all about us not getting plays in or not making line adjustments quick enough. This is clear when we get the idiotic TO's (this really bugs me) because our offense isn't on the same page.
I totally agree with the sentiment that we aren't doing a good job with getting plays going or keeping good tempo with the offense. I see ToP as two fold; 1) the actual time we possess the ball on offense and 2) tempo: i.e. amount of plays.
We are doing good with #1, but awful with #2.

Seemed like they ran for a lot more yards than they did.
It seemed that way to me, too. Likewise I would have though they had a lot more yards of Total Offense. They started out like gangbusters in the first Q. Then Diaco adjusted. After we went up 21-3 it seemed like they had the ball a lot longer but they only had it for 1 minute more than ND in the second half.
