Guys its middle of the season in there junior year. Most kids don't get offered this early unless there elite. Not saying Reilly isn't but hes playing a new position this year. No sense in offering a kid you haven't really evaluated just based on size.

Yeah, definitely waiting on the ND offer it sounds like.

“That first kick my cousin had, I was kind of upset that he missed it just because he’s my cousin, but when it came down to it, it was kind of a good thing for us,” he said.

Offered by Oklahoma per ISD.

Wow. Good for Reilly. Hard work pays off - he is blowing up.

Yeah it does.

Irish Sports Daily‏@ISDUpdate

We told you a couple of weeks ago that FL OT Reilly Gibbons could be on the verge of blowing up. Today he was offered by Oklahoma.

My guess is that we got 4 tackles in the 2013 class so we will be super selective in 2014. We'll choose a couple of elite targets and see where we stand with them before we make other offers.

In fact that will probably be the strategy at most positions in 2014 (maybe not DL). In general, our depth needs are addressed so we can be choosier.

Already looking really good with Byrne and have others higher rated. Kid is an open Irish fan so why rush the offer.

Right. We're in the mix early for Braden Smith, for instance, according to TV today. We'll see how things go with guys like that before we move on Reilly.

It's nothing really concrete other than Elliot is paying him a visit so I didn't originally think to put it in his thread, but just for you, Buster, I added the info.

St. Petersburg Catholic LT Reilly Gibbons, who happens to be 6-foot-4, 274 pounds, ran a 4.64 40 today at UA combine. Wow.

Still think we hold off and wait for guys like Braden Smith and Mason Cole. Kid would commit on the spot and the staff knows it.

recruiting analysts on espn breaking down the under armour combine mentioned him, braden smith, and orlando brown as the 3 O lineman who impressed the most.

Does he play any DE/DL? That size and speed would be incredible at DE in the 3-4.

Class of 2014 offensive tackle prospect Reilly Gibbons (St. Petersburg, Fla./Catholic) checked in a 6-foot-4 and 274-pounds. He ran an uber-impressive 4.64 40, 5.08 shuttle and recorded 20 reps of 185-pounds on the bench press.

6-4 274 4.64 40 and 5.08 shuttle

Those times don't go together. Runs as fast as Ron Dayne but move sideways like Tommy Rees dodging a cabdriver.

Reilly must be a pure North South runner with no shake and bake.

I still want him in the goal line backfield.
