I have thought many times this year that Clowney is stealing his thunder in terms of sophomore DLmen... Clowney is once a generation, but Tuitt is best in the country under normal circumstances

I know that Clowney is "all-world" and everything, but Tuitt is not that far off. 8 sacks by a 3-4 DE in 7 games is unheard of. Tuitt is a physically dominant presence on the line like I've never seen before.

Haha I am pretty sure he is already a star. Him and clowney and sometimes Mingo are the best DE's in the country.

Make no mistake. I agree, at least for a sophomore

Flat out star. Diaco is pulling guys, having a positive impact on the guys we have, and it's only a matter of time before he's a head coach.

What might amaze me most about Tuitt is how many tackles he makes on running plays to the opposite side of the field (or downfield). Dude is so quick.

Yep, Tuck holds the single season record (13.5) and career (24.5). As the post above me pointed out a minute earlier! lol

Haha, it's cool man. So all Tuitt needs is what, 5 more over the next 5 regular season and 1 bowl game? Doable. Probable.

How does Pitt, BC and Wake Forest look on the Oline?

Pitt allows 3 sacks a game, BC and WF both 2.

Rushingwise, Pitt is ranked #83 with 145 yds/game, WF is #93, 123 yds/game, and BC #109, 103 yds/game.

All of them have better passing stats than ND.

Pitt has a higher ranked Total Offense, BC about the same as ND, and WF worse.

Scoring wise Pitt scores about the same as ND with BC and WF lower.

ND will get ahead early, all three will be forced to throw, creating opportunity for Tuitt.

I love that he was in on two sacks yesterday while being asked to play a little more "assignment" football. No just pinning his ears back and getting after the QB. Quite impressive.

Goodness, Shembo's bike seat and now Tuitt's wallet?

Real talk: somebody tell him it was Pitt's QB.

Edit: one minute too slow. Points given for the pic.
