Every year for the past 5 my Dad and his buddies have gone to an Eagles away game in a different city every year along with a college game in that city/ town on the Saturday of that weekend.

So this weekend these guys (all in their 40's and 50's) are going to do LSU vs Bama on Saturday then Eagles vs Saints on Monday Night Football.

I'm jealous.

I know this is unsolicited, but I can't resist:

If they don't already have their dining plans picked out, tell them to hit Drago's Restaurant next door to Harrah's Casino before the Saints game. They'll need reservations. Get the charbroiled oysters. They're gonna need at least a dozen per person. They won't regret it. If they're coming down Sunday, they could hit Galatoire's (closed on Mondays) or GW Fins (amazing seafood) that night and Palace Cafe for lunch Monday (get the crabmeat cheesecake appetizer and the turtle soup). Unfortunately, if they're looking for po-boys, they'll need to get out of the Quarter to really find the great ones. Mother's is the famous one because of its location, but it's pretty average. The best three are: Parkway Bakery in Mid-City/Bayou St. John, and Domilise's and Crabby Jack's in Uptown. The first two have the best of the three traditional po-boys (fried shrimp, fried oyster, and roast beef), while the third has incredible newer-style food (the cochon de lait po-boy might be the best thing ever put on bread)

If they follow that list, I guarantee it'll be the best 15lbs they ever gain.

Remember what happened the last time these teams got together?

NEW ORLEANS (AP) — An Alabama man pleaded guilty Tuesday to obscenity charges and faces a two-year prison sentence for rubbing his genitals on an unconscious LSU fan in a Bourbon Street restaurant after the BCS national title game in January.

Prosecutors reached a plea deal with Brian H. Downing of Smith Station, Ala., on the morning he was scheduled to be tried on charges that included sexual battery, which is punishable by up to 10 years in prison. Prosecutors agreed to drop the battery charge.

Downing is scheduled to be formally sentenced on Nov. 29, but Orleans Parish Criminal District Judge Karen Herman indicated she will sentence Downing to two years in prison and recommend his participation in a boot camp program run by prison officials. Downing will not be required to register as a sex offender.

A video that went viral on the Internet appeared to show someone in a University of Alabama jacket exposing his genitals and performing a simulated sex act on the unconscious man at the restaurant after the Crimson Tide beat LSU for the BCS football championship on Jan. 9.

The LSU fan has sued Downing, asking damages for "mental anguish, humiliation, embarrassment, anxiety and depression ... damage to reputation" and lost tuition payments "for having to withdraw from school."

Christopher Bowman, spokesman for District Attorney Leon Cannizzaro, said prosecutors consulted with the victim before agreeing on the plea deal. He described it as the "most just outcome and also the most certain outcome." He rejected the notion that Downing's actions were merely a drunken prank.

"When you put your genitals on someone's body, someone who is passed out, that's not a prank," he said. "I don't think people would be asking that question if the defendant had done it to a passed-out woman."

Michael Kennedy, one of Downing's attorneys, said his client decided to accept the deal in large part because he has a 1-year-old son and didn't want to have to register as a sex offender.

Take it back! Bad things happen to the away team in Baton Rouge. Don't you know the LSU record at home and at night?!

Mccaron's, Lacy, and Yeldon and that O-line are just amazing. The defense may not be as good as last years but that offense is 3x better.

I am so sick of hearing this. It simply wont happen. Their SoS is far less than ours. They are not going to pass an undefeated Irish team with a loss. They would have to be voted #1 by the human polls to overcome the computers. Not going to happen.

Sheesh...

Stop acting like it is not a legitimate concern. The love affair that the media, particularly ESPN, has for the SEC could easily vault a 1 loss SEC team into the title game even with two undefeateds. I don't think it will happen but you never know.

It's a humid waste land with a fine aroma of Exxon refinery chemicals and drunk swamp people. The stadium looks like it should host a barfight, not a #1 v #5 matchup. They even have a tiger roaming around outside. Local apartments have convicts breaking down the gates .

People just don't feel welcome. Then they lose. Then the IRISH move up. That's my plan.

First, LSU has barely a prayer of winning this game. That team sucks. They have a good defense... but their offense is utterly dreadful. I'd be surprised if they even scored in this game, but with some freak special teams/defensive big plays I guess they could have a small shot. LSU is the biggest fraud in the entire top 10, which is saying a lot consider South Carolina and Louisville are in there.

Alabama 24, LSU 3... but I'll be rooting for LSU hard. There is no way a team that struggled against TOWSON and beat woeful Auburn 12-10 deserves the credit they are getting or will jump us if we go undefeated.

This sounds almost identical to what people were saying about ND v OU.

Thanks! I'll pass on the info. They're flying out Friday and coming back Tuesday.

You're probably right, Wooly. But it's not out of the realm of possibility that it could happen.

Voters did everything they possibly could to get LSU into the title game in '07, despite OU having a better resume. Granted, both teams had 2 losses, but the fact remains LSU was the beneficiary of very questionable voting by humans. Hell, last year, in the lead up BEFORE the LSU-Alabama game was actually played, some talking heads were already talking about a rematch between the two and/or the winner only falling 1 spot in the polls.

Again, when it's all said and done, I don't think a 1-loss Alabama or LSU will be ahead of an undefeated Oregon, K-State, or ND either, but don't think there aren't writers and voters and TV commentators out there who won't be trying to make it happen. You better believe they will be in total full force if no SEC team goes undefeated, yet 2 of ND, KSU, and Oregon are. For a myriad of reasons, a lot of these as$ clowns fully believe the SEC should be, and is entitled, to play for the Natty.

It isn't a legitimate concern. ND fans are a paranoid bunch. There is no way that a one-loss team is jumping an undefeated BCS conference or Notre Dame team. It isn't going to happen. No need to feed the hysteria.

Agreed. I will say however that the SEC bias annoys me and makes me slightly nervous.

Can't stand LSU after the Sugar Bowl a few year ago. The amount I was called Tiger Bait made me sick. But this weekend, Geaux Tigers!

It's certainly possible an LSU could jump undefeated Notre Dame, just not very likely.

For example, you could imagine it if (1) Stanford and USC get more bad losses, (2) Oklahoma gets a bad loss, (3) ND looks bad to the voters at the end of the season, and then (4) LSU beats Alabama and then a 1 loss Georgia team convincingly in the SEC Champ.

But the chances of all that stuff happening together is very, very low. That'd be like BCS Sandy.

If LSU has a touchdown it won't be on offense. I hope they beat the sh!t out of eachother with Bama winning another 6-9 bore. Then Bama loses to TA&M next week to really drop them out of title consideration.

LSU should not be #5, they really are not very good and I don't see how they score on Bama without special teams or defense putting them in field goal range.

My call, Bama 13, LSU 3. I will be happy if neither team scores a TD.

Sounds like TJ Yeldon with a 2 run homer in the bottom of the 8th.

It's in Baton Rouge..I still think 'Bama cruises 31-13
