I'm not freaking out but I do think this is a big deal. In all of bk's interviews he keeps mentioning the offense having to come up with big plays and he has been our best consistent big play player. 2 returns for td's last year. Averaging 8.1 yds/carry and has 2 50+ yd td runs most on the team. Also keep in mind that he is the guy that has been able to run the misdirection plays the best. For a game like this we r gonna need everybody at their best.
I know George's "girl" kind of well, and she told me that George does not have the flu but got an "infection while shaving" and could be relatively serious

Oh boy... Hope it isn't MRSA. Get Better GA3!
Mrsa was first thing I thought of too.
Our only true home run threat is out....great.
Just went over it in one of my classes last week. Supposedly becoming a bigger problem in sports. Hope it isn't, that is one infection I wouldn't wish on anyone.
Pardon the ignorance, but what is MRSA?
EDIT nvm, didnt realize that was just the tehincal name for staph infection

Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus. It refers to certain strains of staph aureus that have developed mutations that enable them to resist the usual antibiotics. Thus, it's harder to treat and can get very serious---and potentially deadly.
Was there any other disease he could have gotten but the runs?
Kelly says that George Atkinson III has been cleared after contracting the stomach flu during the week.
HC Brian Kelly on George Atkinson III: "He was weak and dehydrated, it didn't make sense for us to put him on a plane."
Irish Sports Daily@ISDUpdate
Kelly: G. Atkinson was weak & dehydrated. One of six ND players to battle flu last week.
Oh yeah? How many has he hit this year? Or last year?
What's his longest TD run?
I noticed that Georgie was replaced by Cierre wood for kickoff returns for the Wake game (or at least the one kickoff return that we had). Any insights as to why? Lack of production? Honoring Cierre?
Actually, he was replaced by Cam McDaniel, another Sophmore. My guess is that Coach just thought he could get more production from Cam.
