Alabama loses one.

ND and KState stay undefeated.

You know what that would mean right?

You know that's completely in the realm of possibility right?

Holy Crap.

Dream Scenario: ND beats Bama in title game.

And you know what? Very well within the realm of reality

I have an incredible amount of faith in this squad, I'm a true believer.

But Alabama, through oversigning, greyshirts, and down right cheating are fielding a pro-squad.

ND would roll KState.

If Golson uses this as a springboard for the rest of the season, I think that ND may be able to win a BCS game this year, but I really think that KSU would be much more to our liking.

Nonetheless, the future looks amazingly bright for the Irish :D

Best case scenario is that LSU beats Bama. I think we jump Oregon tomorrow. Worst case is we are in the BCS.

The SEC is virtually guaranteed to send its champion to the MNC game. Even with one loss.

I have no desire to play Alabama, but it's shocking to think we are being mentioned along with them now.

I believe that no team can knock an undefeated Notre Dame out of the National Title game.

Watch the advanced defensive stats next week. We held OU to 13 points. As good as 'Bama's defense has looked, they've got nothing remotely close to that on their resume.

Remember when we held Michigan to fewer points, and jokingly stated ND > 'Bama for defense? Might actually be true.

It's crazy to think, remembering how we felt about our schedule at the beginning of the year, that we may not be in the national championship game if we finish undefeated. Absolutely crazy...

The league is so top heavy that even totally crap teams like Miss State get ranked in the top 12 even though they have play nobody. I will be interested to see how far FLA falls and UGA rises just for comparison's sake. IF LSU shocks Bama at LSU then all hell could break loose, except for the fact that AL will not drop out of the Top 5 because LSU will be #5 in the BCS rankings tomorrow after FLA's loss today. Somehow the SEC will still have 3 teams in the top ten of the BCS.

The SEC deal with ESPN makes it impossible that anyone can make a dent in the way it is currently constructed...which will still hold true til 2025 per the new four team playoff starting in two years.

It's a legitimate problem in college football. Florida, Scar, Georgia, LSU, and Mississippi state have all been exposed as not that good. But none of the above will fall to the Mid or low teens, low 20s or unranked where they truly belong. its quite frustrating actually.

Bama, LSU, and Georgia will be garunteed top 10. Florida may stay in. And South Carolina may rise to just sneak in. Thats 5 teams in the top 10 who collectively have 2 respectable out of conference wins: Michigan (Bama) and Washington (Lsu). I kid you not when I say that a Bama win over a 6-2 Western Kentucky is the third best out of conference win. Washington itself is a mediocre 4-4 but I will give that game the benefit of the doubt by its importance as early season "statement game", similarly in a way to Mich St. for us (although that was a road game, top 10 at the time, and MSU has a winning record).

I see no way that a 1-Loss SEC team gets in over an undefeated KSt, Oregon, or ND. It just won't happen. SEC 1-loss teams get the benefit of the doubt against other 1-Loss teams, not over undefeateds. There absolutely is bias for the SEC, but it is what it is.

Having been stationed at Ft. Polk for four years, during the Sugar Bowl against LSU, I absolutely hate the damn Tigers. I never cheer for them. It's amazing how ND success can make me change my ways. I may even sport a purple shirt next Saturday...

Could be but unlikely they meet at the moment. If USC beat ORE, either ND or KSU goes to the title game if undefeated. Still games to play. Golson and his receivers would have 6 more weeks of practice to hone their reads and timing. This team believes they can play with anybody and win.

Still drunk..

Still insanely happy about our win.

If Alabama loses, ND and KState stay where they are.

Manti wins the Heisman.

Right now I would be happy with 11-0 going to the Colisiem to play southern cal. They must stay injury free and get thru these next 3 games. IF ANYONE THINKS THEY CAN JUST SHOW UP AND WIN THESE NEXT 3 GAMES IT WILL BE A MISTAKE. What these guys have done this year is eye popping but they gotta stay composed and fixed on one game at a time. I say they get a real challange from Pittsburgh.
