And then God made Saturdays for Notre Dame Football.
-Genesis 1:31

I'm in a betting pool where we get 15 games emailed to us every week and we pick against the spread. I watch or keep track of all of those games.

I only watch ND football. I know that maybe that means on this board I cant add as much to the discussion but thats all I care to watch. I love football but I love other things as well and when ND isnt on I'm watching other shows I like, or spending time with my girl. Back when I was in high school and maybe a few years after that I would watch college football all day but at that time most of the people I hung out with were more sports people. Now my fiance doesnt care for football (she doesnt hate it but she doesnt care to watch it) and most of the guys I hang out with are nerds and we talk about comics, and wrestling and what-not.

To be honest other than you guys and a few guys I know at the gym thats all the football discussion I do other than the few times I see old buddies from high school. I dunno if that makes me a bad fan but I'm perfectly content only watching the Irish.

I'm w/ Rack Em. I watch all of ND and KU whenever possible, but I also watch as many other games as possible due to being in a pick em deal, and being a little bit of a gambler. I sacrifice watching NFL games so I can watch football most of the day Saturday. The wife likes football but pretty much only ND/KU/Chiefs. I could watch William Jewell play Central Missouri State.

I watch all I can; I MUCH prefer college football to the NFL.

My wife is pretty good about not interfering with me watching the games. If there's something that needs to be done, I prioritize and I will record non-ND games to watch later if other things are pressing.

My family, though, also knows that you DO NOT schedule or expect me to do something during ND football. If you interrupt me, you better have an appendage hanging loose or something... Check that - you better have a MAJOR appendage hanging loose.

I'm wondering, though, are you guys like me in your selection process for which non-ND games you're going to watch? I always go for the one that has the most direct correlation to our boys... For instance, I'll now watch a Stanford game over a possibly bigger marquee matchup, just hoping that The Tree wins, so our strength of schedule gets a nice bump.

That part was interesting to me, because at the gym or other people gathering places, I most often get asked about wrestling, as a lot of people know I spent a LOT of years in the ring.

I enjoy wrestling, loved every moment of my career, but when I have the opportunity to talk college football - particularly ND - it annoys the crap out of me when someone keeps derailing the conversation, wanting to know if "Jimmy Snuka is really cool".

College football ALL WEEK LONG. If there's a game on I'm watching it. If I'm out I'm listening to it or following it on ESPN gametracker. I die inside in January every year.

Reading through most game threads I assume most actually just watch ND games. I watch as many games as I can on Saturday. I love college football.

I hear that some other teams play college football on Saturdays, but I've never seem them, so they must not exist.

No, I watch the Irish on Saturdays and try to catch Ohio State here and there or one of our opponents playing another team. So...somewhere betwen 1-3 games a Saturday.

I prefer college ball over Pros. Saturdays are wake up and watch College Game Day then watch whatever game is on and wait until ND plays....then watch the night game. That is why my wife gets a diamond at the end of the season...

My wife would probably say "too much", but I pretty much have it on sunset to sundown Saturdays.

I'm a College Football junkie! I try to watch 3-4 games every week. I pay close attention to what our opponents are doing and I try to watch the other big games of the week.

I don't watch wrestling and I have no idea who Jimmy Snuka is, so we can talk strictly Irish football six ways from Sunday.

I'm in this camp. Don't get me wrong, nothing derails my attention to ND football. But, I like watching other games of note, and watching games that have a direct impact on Notre Dame's rankings and so on. For instance, I'm really looking for ways that the team ranked above the Irish in the poll can fall without another team vaulting ND in the rankings. It's one major reason why I enjoy college football, even games where your team doesn't play still has an effect on your team's rank/BCS chances. We are definitely seeing that this year with the Irish's outside chance of going to a BCS bowl.

With a job and a wife and a young kid, I can't watch as much as I'd like. But nothing's more fun than a college football Saturday, and we only get 12 or 13 of them a year. So I watch all of every ND game, plus try to see chunks of 2 or 3 other games.
Typically the early Big 10 game is on while I'm at the gym. So maybe a quarter of that. Usually parts of the best 3:30 game, around our game, and flipping back and forth between the more interesting prime time games. Will admit I usually skip the weeknight fare.

So I have this theory. The theory is that this forum is broken up into two groups. A.) Those that only watch ND football games. B.) College football junkies who watch at least 3 games a week including ND.

I happen to fall into the group B but I'm a relatively young guy, who works for himself, doesn't have any kids, my dog likes the couch on Saturdays as much as I do and my girlfriend either sits and reads her iPad or goes and hangs out with her friends and let's me and the TV have our special moments. Point is I have the time to watch a lot of football, I realize that others may not be so lucky, whatever the reason.

What I'm trying to get at is that I think those that only watch ND games every week have an unrealistic view of how college football players should perform and an inflated sense about how good or bad ND football is. Whereas those who watch other teams realize what ND really is and have a more realistic sense of where they rank amongst other teams.

Anyway I would like to know where you all fall in this poll.
I watch 3 plus games every week. Sometimes more. Big college fan. My eyes tell me Notre Dame plays with anybody and if Golson can get comfy and stay put this team could beat anybody. Right now the 2 best teams I've seen play are LSU/S Carolina-profootball.
