I will take care of this gently so that someone doesn't get too harsh and feelings get hurt. If you read this thread you would know that he is a Bosco kid and they generally wait to make anything official and public. The feeling has been that he was between us and Rutgers, with us in the lead. He will not take an official until after the season but it has been suspected that he is very high on us. Now, there are rumors that he has decided on us, but don't expect to hear him announce this anytime soon. He seems like he is ours and if not we are at least in the lead. It's possible that he could announce something in the near future, but I wouldn't hold your breath. He will likely be on campus for the banquet at the end of the season and if we stand were people think we do, then we will likely get his commitment then. Sit back, relax, and take comfort in the knowledge that this kid is on board. Like people are saying, nothing matters until Feb. There is likely no difference between where we are with him and where we are with some guys who have given a verbal.

Damn. I just watched this kids highlight film for the first time.

But seriously, that play where he drops back in zone coverage and picks it off with one hand. And then looks like a running back in the open field... YIKES

I just watched it for the first time. He doesn't look 230 thats what jumped out to me. But the explosiveness and quickness. O my stars and bars.

He sure does play fast. To me, he looks like he is directly between Shembo and Ishaq in size, speed, and style.

I'd rather him grown into a DE, but we are in a good spot since either if he doesn't Okwara probably will. Who ever is left over will be a excellent CAT with Ishaq and Shembo.

So you suspect he may be a silent non-verbal verbal commitment that refuses to commit in the relatively near temporal region?

I believe Pete Sampson said he doesn't think Okwara will grow into a DE. The staff wants him lean and playing Cat.

Keep in mind that both Okwara and Muhammed will play with their hands down on passing situations. Usually Tuitt slides into the NG spot on 3rd and long and Shembo lines up in a 5 technique.

Great point - Ishaq does this a lot as well. Further, Shembo has played really well vs. the run this year even at his size when in there. I think Muhammad has the ceiling to be even better against the run. Personally, I want this kid real bad, and I just want to see him sign and figure out how best to unleash him later.

The word that comes to mind when I watch his tape is tenacious. He seems to attack the lineman in front of him and destroy the block with ease.

AM's game reminds me of that Odenigbo kid from last year that ended up going to northwestern.
what i like about AM is that he is a bigger kid at this stage with more potential to grow into a real beast

To the point of who goes where? I think one of the reasons our D has been good to great this year is depth. You can tell these kids to go as hard as possible and when you need a breather let us know. Then bring in another athlete that doesn't miss a beat. Great position long term.

He looks like one of those defensive players that for twenty years we couldn't recruit.
