Florida is going to get way too much credit in beating a horrendously overrated LSU team while scoring less points than Towson.

LSU looked inept..and Florida besides their rb who didn't do **** until lsu's 2 starting lb's went down....

Just to play devil's advocate, it's not like our offense has played too hot this year either, outside of big games against horrible defenses in Navy and Miami.

Couple of you guys (not most) have FL jumping us and you agree with it. I don't see how. They beat a perennial power at home, a top ranked team, and that's great. But look a little closer. LSU was terribly overrated, with a truly pathetic offense, and they lost what, 4 or 5 starters that game? And with all that, FL still were down more than they were up. Props for the win, and they deserve to be a top 7 team, but jump ND? Nope.

Besides all the reasons there, you can't jump a team that beat a capable opponent into the ground 41-3. If ND had played a team like, say, Bowling Green, and looked bad in winning, then absolutely FL should be ahead of ND. But ND took care of business with a thrashing of a 4-1 team with excellent athletes. ND should be #6, no doubt.

We'll see what the writers do though...

Who cares about the rankings until the end of the season? ND keeps taking care of business nothing else will matter. Looking at ND schedule I just cant see anybody beating you but maybe USC.

Ooooops, looks like I was way off LOL.

As for our schedule, Stanford can most definitely beat us, Oklahoma should be favored (one home loss, this year, in how many years??? They are TOUGH to beat at home). Hell, because these are kids and it's college football, we better be prepared to play vs. BYU in 2 weeks (TRAP GAME!!!). And then of course, there's USC.

Just ask FSU about not having a game besides FL that they could lose. Sh!t happens, and I've seen it happen to our school time and time again. This year feels different, but hopefully the team won't take anyone lightly!

I think Florida has done enough to jump us, but if we beat Stanford by more than a touchdown we should leap frog them back. South Carolina is proving each week that they are a championship contender, but they have a very rough road ahead. I really hope SC or Stanford can knock off Oregon to give us a better shot at the ship, but I dont really see that happening.

Side note:
I believe Texas, FSU, and LSU are very solid 1 loss teams that could and probably should end the season in the top 10.

I knew Florida was going to move up but wow. LSU was overrated and still is. But like BGIF said "those are sec votes!" Imo Georgia should be 9 LSU @ 14. No qualms at rest of rankings.

Nothing. But they haven't looked terrible... not even close. Have you actually watched any of their games? Their only loss was to KSU by a couple of points after a couple really unlucky breaks... and KSU is the truth.

I really doubt Oklahoma would have trouble stopping LSU when AUBURN stopped LSU.... not to mention Towson for the majority of the game...

Even ignoring the *** kicking they were given by Florida's defense (because Florida D > OU) there is no way you can look at what LSU has done this year and say "that's a top 10 team!" I would expect them to get beat by almost all teams in the top 15. Pumping LSU is nothing but blind homerism towards the SEC or carryover from their dominance last year. Their offense still sucks and their defense is FAR worse.

I mean at this point, who else do you put there? They have a average defense, have beaten some good teams, and have a playmaker at QB. Would I take them to beat USC on a neutral field? No. But I think they've earned that spot as of right now. Even with their lucky squeakers over Cal and MSU, they're still Ws.
