Ha yeah, if I call an opinion dumb its because I'm making a little joke. I don't agree with his opinion at all, but I called it dumb or whatever I said in jest.

The only group from that era at all that I hold in this discussion would be The Black Crowes... now that is a kick *** classic rock sound.

Thank you, thank you, thank you. I absolutely hate the Beatles. Yes, I know that they changed music forever. Doesn't mean I have to like them or think they are the best ever. I had a roommate in college who only listened to the Beatles and he listened to them every day. Can't remember the number of times I wanted to take a sharp object and rupture my ear drums.

plus it's not like all their songs are buble-yum... Hey Jude, Revolution, Get Back, Let it Be... a lot of their later stuff is really good... I'm not their biggest fan, but I never understood the hate either.

Those guys were good. Just so we are clear if the band did not use a Gibson of some sort during the recording the music is not "rock".

I agree with this.

I hesitated in putting the Beatles on my list for this reason.

Black Sabbath is a better ROCK band, in my opinion, whereas the Beatles are a better pop band...

I admitted that the Beatles changed music forever. Their influence on all music cannot be denied. But, again, that doesn't mean the I have to either like them or believe that they are the best band of all time. The very first car ever made changed the way people used transportation forever, doesn't mean that it was the best car ever.
