They basically have two games against quality, though deeply flawed, opponents - LSU and Michigan (who they had loads of time to prepare for) - and the SEC title game. Maybe Mississippi State or Texas A&M gives them a game, but both are at home.

They had 4 preseason top 10 teams on their schedule. Not their fault Arkansas is in full collapse mode and Michigan stinks.

Current BCS Computer rankings:

Sagarin has us #6. Billingsley has us #5. Colley's has us #2. Massey has us #2.

The other two computer rankings are not out as of yet.

Florida has a very very very good defense.

You can add USC to that as well, though their schedule up to this point has been iffy. I think we will know alot more after this weekend for sure.

Georgia might not have a great total defense, but I would love to have Jarvis Jones and Ogletree....

A couple of those games could be closer than expected if Bama tries to sleep walk through them.

Not their fault at all. And good on them for scheduling Michigan out of conference. No one's saying 'Bama's dodging tough games, just that their road the title game looks fairly clear. Besides LSU and maybe the SEC Championship, they'll be two-score favorites in every game.

yet it is still twice as strong as Alabama's... but yes, stlnd01 said what I meant by my original comment. If there are 3 or 4 undefeated teams, Alabama's schedule SHOULD come into play, but we all know it wont be because of SEC bias.

I may get killed for this since most agree Bama is made of Greek gods but football is about match ups... With matchups in mind West Virginia could boat race Bama... Thing is they may be the only team I'd take to beat them... But it think they could lay a whooping, beat em good.
