Since there are still some missing pieces in here that are big, I thought I would make a post here to see what others want for the next edition of NCAA.

1. Savable Formation Subs- When EA added formation subs to the current gen games, I was very excited. Then I realized, you can't save the subs. What's the point? I don't feel like pausing a game to make subs for ONE game. And then I have to re-do them? Bullshit. Give us the ability to save them.

2. Duplicate Jersey Numbers- One of the most frustrating things for detail nazis like me is having the wrong numbers for players. For example, Michigan has two #43s (punter Will Hagerup and DE Chris Wormley). So I have to give one of the players the wrong number until EA puts two #43s in the game since I can't have more than one. There used to be a way around this but it doesn't work anymore. I want the option to have more than one player wearing the same number on a team. Make it so that if you try to put players with the same number on the field, it will show an error message since it's against the rules in the NCAA to have more than one of the same #s on the field at once.

3. Last Name Display on Jerseys- I know this doesn't really matter to ND fans, but it would be nice to have an option to add the first initials on the back of jerseys of players who share the same last name. Sure, you can do it already but the announcer won't say their name and the player's name will look "Denard D.Robinson" on the stats. I want it so I can have a D.Robinson and a J.Robinson and the announcers will still say the last names and it won't look ridiculous on the screen.

4. Pre-Game Equipment Customization- Love the fact that I can finally edit at least the socks on the pre-game screen since Michigan wears Blue and home and White on the road. But I also want an option to customize the colors of other equipment like sleeves. All the adidas schools wear their primary colored undershirts at home and white ones on the road. Would be nice to have it realistic.

5. Fix the stupid no-huddle glitch- I can't tell you how much it irritates me when I'm running no-huddle and EVERY PLAY the receivers can't hear. When it's dead quiet, they can't hear. When I'm at home, they can't hear. When I'm on the road and killing the opposing team and the crowd is quiet, they can't hear. How is that realistic to the speed of no-huddle?

Would love to hear some other thoughts.

Paralysis inducing impacts.

And coochie flashes by cheerleaders.

Oh and head coach knee blowouts and subsequent knee replacements.

No showers, not yet. Too soon.

How about making 4 streaks down the field less effective? No matter what I do when playing on XBL they score at least 2 twice running that play practically every down with draws mixed in. A lot of the time the corner will jam the WR and then just stand there.

Neutral Site Games.
Chain gang
Spring practice and spring game
Live look ins with video instead of just the stats
Game of the week features College Gameday

Some of this stuff they've done in the past on older consoles. It's amazing they seem to not be able to do them on more advanced systems with improved capabilities.

These would be nice. As would 85-man rosters.

I would like them to add W, X, Y, Z...instead of just WR and TE. It's pretty silly when a slot receiver is the #1 and always outside.

I want every pass play within reason available for every formation (every 2x2 one for 2x2, every 3x1 for 3x1).

I want bubble screens to.. actually work.

I want every coach adjustment besides option control and zone depth to be removed.

I want to be able to shell coverages better.

I want defense expanded, when was the last time the defense got anything new while offense has been getting shinny things for as long as I can remember.

I want Notre Dame to be preseason #1 and an A++ overall ranking.

I want teams of old in the game, like the 1988 ND team.

I want that no-huddle crap out of the game.

I want to be able to define personnel subs instead of "te slot" or whatnaught.

^^^This. I refuse to buy another NCAA football game until there are 85 man rosters. You can't build a dynasty with only a 70 man roster. There have been plenty of times in the off season I've had to cut a dozen or more players from the team, including my returning senior quarterback who won a national championship the year before. Ridiculous.

EA usually has ludicrous ratings for teams. Michigan was #2 in 08 I remember, UGA was #1 in 09. They really ride FSU's nuts like nobodies business.

You can get old teams in the game. The teambuilder feature is 10x better then the preset classic teams they had on last gen because you customize anything and everything except depth charts.

Manti Te'o on the cover.

Realistic subbing.

Larger roster.

WR1, WR2, SLOT instead of just WR.
MLB1, MLB2 instead of just MLB.

-Expand rosters
-Infinity Engine
-VASTLY improve the graphics and presentation, I’m not talking about a stupid intro that we will only watch once, I mean DURING the game (EA PLEASE for the love of all things hire someone from MLB the Show so they can show you how to represent a sport properly).
-More uni options or have team builder unis available for attachment to regular teams…
-Neutral site games and the ability to create conferences…
-Much more impactful and realistic coaching carousel…

In fact, Sony just needs to step up and do their thing… EA sucks butt.

I would be down with these. Someone mentioned post season bans too. Humerous or not, I wouldn't mind seeing this, despite it being argued that it may not add to the game. What if during the course of a Dynasty you got pop ups that said something like "You were notified via e-mail that some of your players sold game awards for free tattoos, how do you want to proceed?" Then you either self report it and impose a penalty, or try to hide it and see if you get caught. Theres risk and reward here, and ties in nicely with today's college football world!

Anyway, this is the first year I haven't bought the game since '98. Part of it has been tighter expenses with two kids we welcomed the last few years, but I'd be lying if I said that part of it was the disappointment with the gameplay last year (Particularly the Super Man LBs). Can anyone tell me what they think of the gameplay this year? Is it better than last year?

I'd like a chance to add on to stadiums. If I build Akron into a national power, I don't want a stadium that seats 30,000.

In one of the years games during the dynasty mode it would say player x was caught not following team rules then gave you options of discipline x amount of games, which you could raise or lower. Or the option to do nothing. If you continued to do nothing or less than the recommended it would raise the ncaa's interest level. Once it got so high you were investigated and punished.

The more real life it is the better.

I have gotten NCAA 13 to do some of the items on this topic. There are slider tweaks to get subbing down to where it should be. As it stands I see Theo Riddick in my games on about 15 snaps per game (8 min Qtrs on Fast, Heisman with advanced sliders)....I see Tony Springman, and Sheldon Day in games consistently. It's just a matter of you getting the subs sliders right.

Auto-Subs
Offense
QB 45-50
RB 84/85
WR 70/75
FB/TE 70-75
OL 60-65
Defense
DT 84-85
DE 84-85
LB 64-70
CB 55-60
S 60-65

As far as setting up WR depth Chart 1, 2, and 3 are Rt. Outside, Left outside, and Slot in 3 wr sets...and 4, and 5 are only utilized in 4 and 5 wide sets. You can split out your TE or have a HB line up in the slot on the play call screen as well.

I know we shouldn't have to "make do" in those scenarios, but at least there is a way to do them....I just want to have neutral site games SOOOOOO BAD! LOL!

I remember that game too! It was early 2000's. There was also a year where they included Alabama's probation. That most likely was the last time probations were included in the games.

The NCAA doesn't want the "negative aspects" in teh game... like probation and the crowd on the field and such... that's why those were both taken out years ago... not coming back.

Just seems they are only putting in what they want because last year they added in the concussions and had Herbie do some stupid voice blurb about sitting out the next week. That is a "negative aspect" is it not?

LET ME FAST FORWARD THROUGH THE REVIEW. I DON'T CARE AND YOU'RE WASTING MY TIME.

No-huddle glitch.

Some calls by Herbie make NO sense. Whenever I throw it away he says "that receiver was blanketed" or "don't force it into coverage". Happens often.

Make size/strength matter on the lines. I had a 5'9" 190lb ATH I recruited that was a starting O-lineman and had 15 pancakes one year. WTF.

His superior SEC speed allowed him to chop block all his foes before they knew what was happening

1. To answer the first poster, who is banned, but for everyone else I guess (though I'm sure most know this), you can save your formation subs... you just have to edit them in the dynasty menu, not the in-game management menu.

2. Make home-field advantage more pronounced for the user. When I play away games, the crowd is loud and the play art is squiggly, even when I have a big lead. At home, even when I try to amp the crowd, they are quiet.

3. There is still too-wide a range of four and five star WRs in recruiting... a three-star WR should be "average" (excluding finding a gem) and the norm. It's over-the-top when there are 12 five star WRs and 35 four star WRs.

4. As mentioned above, the ability to upgrade a stadium (at least any stadium less than 60,000 seats). I can imagine a game designer would have some fun altering the architecture of a stadium to realistically fit more seats based on the real-life design. If you sell-out so many games in a row, you should be presented with an off-season option to expand seating. The game designer can design one or two pre-made packages for the smaller stadiums that the user can choose from... don't give the user specific options (that would be very tedious for the designers), but allow them to choose from a couple of pre-included designs. For example, I always do a dynasty with Western Kentucky. There is plenty of space for adding seats behind both endzones (there are no seats behind one endzone, and only a few rows behind the other). A designer could add some simple section designs to fit between the existing corners of the real-life seating.
