Is there really such a thing as an "argument" about relevancy?

I saw it. I guess the fact you're having an argument kills the argument about irrelevancy. Just say'n...

On a side note: I typed "your" originally but my Dshans alarm bell went off automatically and I corrected it. I feel so owned.

Mark May picked ND to go 9-3 before season started, then picks ND to lose first 4 games. Things that make you hmmm. That is all.

Every time I took my dog outside today, I wore my ND hat (not just because of yesterday - I always do). And every time, at least one person stopped me to ask me if I watched the game last night (duh...but they don't know that I guess). Anyways, everyone that cares about sports knew yesterday's game happened. I doubt people walking around my neighborhood with a Texas Tech hat on would have been asked about their game yesterday.

Heres a conversation between Eric Hansen (on twitter) and Tyler James.

James: Not sure what's worse: someone calling ND irrelevant or people using every shred of evidence for the rest of eternity to prove its not.

Hansen: I know one thing: @TJamesNDI is relevant!

Tyler: Come on, Eric. I don't write your paychecks.

Same thing happens to me. Everyone who cares about sports even just a little bit knew about this game and was interested in the outcome.

How can there be an argument about if ND is relevant? Theyre the #10 team in the country...

Better ratings than a higher ranked SEC match-up head to head. That is sweet, especially considering how exciting the FSU/Clemson game was. Lots of good football to choose from and ND/Michigan was the clear winner for advertisers.

How is it our game is called ugly when any SEC matchup that barely breaks double digits is a defensive masterpiece? What was LSU/Alabama last year 9-6 in OT and 21-0. LSU/Auburn was 12-10 this weekend.

Like Herbstriet and Musberger said during the MSU game, "Notre Dame has always been relevant. They just haven't been good for awhile."

I guess now we're simply "more relevant".
