Golson hasn't shown me anything to make me think Kiel won't start next year.

You guys make me laugh. I'm not saying Gunner cannot win the job, but give Golson a break. Did you forget that bomb he threw to Goodman? Jokes.

LOL at people already saying Kiel will start next year. God help you if you aren't All World by your 4th game in an ND uniform.

Unless Golson goes 30/30 for 400 yards and 5 TDs every week, people are going to be calling for Kiel. It's the way things are.

I've been on Kiel's jock for a long time now and am pulling for him to be our starter next year. Nothing against the other guys at all. I love all of our players (even Tommy) but Kiel just seems extra special to me. Not to mention I would love to see him come in and $h!t all over Les Miles and show he's got the "chest" for the job.

Kiel has too much talent...

I won't say Golson can't hold him off, but, Golson has to get the mental part of his game together....

May the best man win!

Substitute "Rees" for "Golson" in the above quote and this statement was probably made at the same point last year on this board. We are 4 games into a college career guys. Give the kid a f-ing break. At the start of this year much of this board was saying stuff like, "I'm cool with 7 or 8 wins, as long as Kelly goes with Golson. He needs to learn and he's our future." So now that's out the window already and people are calling for a kid who hasn't seen the field in live action yet? C'mon. 3 weeks ago we were salivating at a kid who could hit a 25 yard pass while rolling out to the right. Kid had a bad game, that's it.

Where did I call for Kiel to start?

I've stated before that I'm still with the Golson train, I was just stating my opinion

With all the experienced QBs we are going to have next year, Kiel better be exceptional.

You didn't. I used your quote as an example of a quote that was most certainly used last year many times, but with Golson in mind over Rees.

My point being that people need to chillax. 4 games in, that's it.

Kiel has the perfect body you want for a quarterback, 6'4 and 210 pounds. Kelly said himself that if he had to put Kiel as the starter then he would.

I'm saying that by the end of this season, I think Everett will have most, if not all, of the mental nuances picked up.

Creating a wonderful quarterback battle heading into next spring.

Do we really want a 4th first year starter in 4 years? We better hope for the sake of the offense that, unless Kiel is a once in a generation type QB, he isn't starting next year. We need experience and stability at the quarterback position, not another guy with literally zero experience stumbling and bumbling through first year growing pains.

Seriously, who would've guessed that before the year started that we would be 4-0 right now and people would be calling for Golson's head. Relax everyone, Golson will put it together

Kelly said Kiel is on the scout team, but still comes up to work with the regular offense. Had some elbow tendonitis.
