I'm pretty sure that you missed the joke there. I'm going to go out in a limb and posit that, especially based on the last sentence, there was a bit of sarcasm in that post. I know it isn't always easy to pick up on tone on the internet, but that is a fail on your part.

Nit picky, maybe. But I think it is a good example of ESPN really not having a clue about ND and trying to catch up to what is reluctantly relevant to college football this weekend (and the next few years as Tuitt is obviously going to spend a lot of time on our highlight reels for at least the next two years).

Believe me when I say that I am not defending ESPN at all here, but I think some context is needed to really understand what McShay said. A week or so ago, Kiper labeled Stephon as possibly the best D-lineman in CFB. Anyone who has seen Kiper and McShay interact has to understand that they are contractually obligated to disagree with each other about EVERYTHING. It's schtick, but that doesn't make it less annoying.

About 10-15 mins a piece. Is there a larger image of the Bane pic from the image source?
