I wasn't aware of the Gilman loss. Condolences.

NJ's finest both have their work cut out for them tonight. Gorman's ranked #10 and STA #16 nationally per Maxpreps.

Good luck!

man is their field sick!!! guess that's what happens when your daddy makes millions on millions...

This kid is stupid quick. He's on ESPN2 and had an impressive sack after bullrushing the LT.

He's 6'4 and 230. He's very, very skinny.

Just manhandled the Aquina's LT and got a sack. Kid is a freak athletically. Plays with a ton of passion and it's only the first quarter.

Kid has been a beast tonight. Want this kid so bad. Liuginbil compared him to a shorter Jadeveon Clowney athletically.

He had a couple of sacks tonight and looked really good! He is my biggest want next to Alexander!

IMO he's a 4-3 DE or a CAT OLB in ND's 3-4 Defense and would hate to see him become a 3-4 DE because much past 260 lbs IMO he will lose his special speed, quickness and all-around athleticism.

Ever since seeing him last season I'm convinced that he's the 2nd coming of former Giant great Michael Strahan.

I want him at ND and at OLB and even though ND already has 3 OLB in this class Muhammad and the others are to good to pass up and would rather get the talent now and worry about the unbalanced OLB class later.

Alquadin and the Don Bosco Prep Ironmen will be playing Florida's St. Thomas Aquinas tonight at 8 p.m. EST on ESPN 2 for all those who are interested.

Final
DB 20
STA 10

Don Bosco Prep rebounds with win over St. Thomas Aquinas - MaxPreps News

Bosco's Rival, the Bergen Catholic Crusaders, will be playing Nevada's Bishop Gorman at 10 p.m. on MSG+.

Final
BC 42
Gorman 35

No. 11 Bergen Catholic holds off No. 10 Bishop Gorman - MaxPreps News

Bishop Gorman Football vs. Bergen Catholic Box Score 9/14/2012 - MaxPreps

N.B.
Last week after losing a close game to Gilman ending DB winning streak, the Dons fell 2,343 slots to #2,344 in the National Ranking. After knocking off STA Friday night they'll probably bounce back about 2,300 slots.

Meanwile #11 BC dropped #10 Gorman. BC will climb into the Top 10 with at least 2 other Top 10 losings in addition to Gorman.

ON CRUSADERS!

I liked what I saw of him last night but he was not as dominate as some of you are writing..he had a few big plays and on those he was explosive...but imo he wasnt controlling the game like I saw in javedon sp? Or Robert ....but then again this was only 1 game that I saw...I def think he would best be fitted for out olb like someone else mentioned because he is quick and athletic...

I don't know dude. I wasn't watching it intensely, but it felt like every time I looked at the TV he was chasing the qb around in the backfield. His play was a big factor... especially on passing downs.

Could be wrong, but pretty sure level of competition is way different, making Muhammad's "accomplishments" that much more impressive.

JC Shurburtt was on Bill King's show today and talked about Muhammad. He said that 247 ended up dropping him a bit in part because they didn't hear much from him and others leapfrogged him. He expects him to move back up as the season goes on.

JC said that if he had to choose right now, he thinks it's ND or Rutgers.

What a lame excuse for dropping him, hence why rankings need to be taken with grain of salt.

The kid is elite, and the only other OLB I like more tha him is Jaylon Smith.

If you've actually seen Muhammad then know he's not built like Tuitt, he can't put on 70 lbs and keep his freakish speed and quickness.

He's not a 3-4 DE, AM is without question a 4-3 DE that would play at about 255-265 lbs and in ND's 3-4 he's a fit at CAT OLB not DE.

Agreed, I like him at DE at ND... but we have plenty of quality OLBs
ND does have plenty of OLB but that's what AM is in 3-4 defense, watch him play and you see a kid who's game is very similar to Jadeveon Clowney rather than KLM or Tuitt or just about any 3-4 DE.

Muhammad is not a need in this class, he's a want because he's a special talent and the fact that ND already has 3 OLB commits in this class in Smith, Randolph and Mattingly.

He will start out at CAT, but he has the body type to be around 285, thus a DE.
I disagree completely that he can get up to 285 or bigger without sacrificing his athleticism, speed and quickness.

What I've seen of him over the last year or two is that he's a true a 4-3 DE as there is and that is vastly different position than a 3-4 DE and I just have to agree to disagree on this one because I don't see it at all.

I refer you to the height and weight of this young man:

BOOM! Not that Alquadin couldn't play some CAT but he seems like that speed pass rushing DE that can cause havoc with a three man front and keep 7 or 8 guys in coverage. Rochell physically looks similar to Tuitt and a protypical 3-4 DE. Alquadin would be an amazing compliment to Rochell and the rest of this front 7 class of '13. A lot of flexibility for Diaco to run a 4-3 or 3-4.

Staff would and I hope take him under the best available. Would love to start plunking kids out of bosco and New Jersey more. I think we currently lead with Rutgers.

Unfortunately the younger talent at Don Bosco isn't where it's been at recently.

I'm sure Kap and Kona would have been faster and more athletic had they statyed thinner!

It's a balancing act. You don't need to be quite as quick if you are 285.

We NEED another Dlineman in this class.

lol this is just what I was thinking guys. Check out this video of Kona in high school, when he weighed about 220. Good shots of a rail-thin, Alquaddin-Muhammad-looking Kona running around beginning about the 2:25 mark:

Kona Schwenke's Kahuku High School 2009 Football Videos - MaxPreps.com

Personally I do see Alquaddin as more of a CAT, but I can't say he wouldn't be able to bulk up into a great DE. He looks to me like he's got the frame to put on weight.

Sherm are you trolling today or what? Gary nova, yuri wright, Darius Hamilton, jabrill peppers, leontee Carroo, Elijah Shumate another stud RB in a couple years. Not to mention Muhammad this year.
