This is the one must win game of the year for me. I can't handle another loss to this team. I have never felt so sick watching such a catastrophic melt down in my life. It sure would help coach Kelly out as well. I guarantee the natives will be restless if we don't have a W next to that game.

this may be the truest statement ive read all night...but it looks like your a braves fan and that should be expected haha...chop

Normally I would say if we were to go 1-11 and our sole win was against those damn skunkbears, I would be completely up for it.
But with the way we've started I can't say it.
But damn I need a win Saturday.
I cant go through what I went through last year, again.

I think comparing MSU and Michigan and saying that MSU is better is kinda irrelevant. Michigan provides a more difficult matchup only because of their athleticism at QB. So its not impossible to think they'll but up some points. I think ND will try to establish a running game early, and make Michigan put 7-8 in the box. This will really open up the intermediate and deep pass plays because we have already seen Golson is not afraid to start chuking

The thing to watch in this game is our offensive line. They just played against two of the most difficult defensive lines in college football. Michigan's D-Line, no doubt, has athletes, but they do not yet rank with the destroyers at Purdue and MSU. So watch our line. If we are gashing them consistently, then, as Chubler said, the game is over no matter what Robinson does [assuming of course that we are not handing them the ball].

I too think this game is more on our offense than the defense.

Robinson's improvisational skills make it likely he'll make some plays. If our defense can limit these plays, or at least the number of these plays then they will have done a great job.

That said, the offense has to put points on the board. Time consuming drives will be great, then a play or two over the top to keep things loose.

The scoring will be up in this game. The defense will do its part but the game is on our offense.

I agree that our offensive line has to control the line and thus will control the game. However, Denard is a special athlete and has proven to be lucky with his erratic throws. Plus, everyone knows that our secondary will have lots of freshman. Not sure how they will handle the adversity and multiple attempts.

but you have a much better chance regardless when their heads are looking for the ball

If we can get consistent pressure with a 3 or 4 man front, keep a spy on denard, play sideline in, and tell our secondary to keep everything in front, i would be thrilled

You're right, Michigan does have a more athletic quarterback but other than that what else?

We might have faced the best running back in the country last week and held him to 70 yards. We also probably faced the best defense in the B1G last week and we out up 20 points on the road in a hostile environment.

I will give Denard some credit, he is extremly athletic but I'm not too sure about the rest of their team

This boggled my mind yesterday, and still remains locked in my head. When Kelly talked about the sign that has been up for a "year and a half in the Gug." Kelly really thought last year was the year of the assent. This years off season changes were insurance. Not a change in direction. He knows. He didn't change target, he refined the magnification of the scope.

Think about it. For last year he was preparing the team for this media bullshiit. He new it was coming. As he said he was surprised at the talent in the cupboard. He figured he would beat his "magic third year" at Notre Dame! Now he knows what they will do this year.

I hope that the D isn't still drinking the myth that DR needs to just be "contained" on the edges. Most of his big runs are when he cuts up inside the tackle.

If the ghosts of Fleming and B. Smith come back, and our OLB's watch him cut inside one more time, I'm going to kill myself.

Do you frequent scUM sites to see what they're saying about the game? If so its probably just tracking your cookies. Last month before we went to Vegas I was checking out deals on shows and then kept getting ads for Vegas on the front page here. Cleared my cookies and it stopped.

Somewhere there is a list of game day events and the time they occur. Can someone help me out with a link or something?

Basically the Trumpets in the Admin. Building, the Team Walk, etc....

Thanks.

Michigan // Events // Game Day // University of Notre Dame

Here are Friday's events and if you hit the button on the top right for "Saturday" you can get the time of the events for that day as well.

Perfect. Thanks!

I've been to plenty of games in the past, but just this year my buddy (who's a UM fan) and I started our own tradition of taking our wives and the four of us rotating between South Bend and Ann Arbor each year for the game. This is their first time on campus, so I'm in charge of showing them how we do it at ND for game days!

Go Irish!

I agree, but I also don't see how ND's defensive front seven can't be considered to be playing well together. They demolished Le'Veon and that MSU offense, leading us to a win over a top 10 team. Our front seven has accounted for 11 sacks...3 more than Bama thus far.

Now, obviously I'm not comparing our secondaries...just the front 7. No comparison in the secondary lol

Of course you demolished their one dimensional offense. Everyone in the nation knows, stop leveon bell and force their sub par qb to row to their sub par receivers. Combine that with a sub par, beat up o-line, and you destroy them.

The thing is...bama did not beat us with sticking 8 in the box and rushing. They beat us with their incredible secondary. Our O-line allowed one sack...a coverage sack...against the best defense in the nation.

If diaco brings pressure, well you know the story...gorgeous Borges should be able to tale advantage of your defense trying to play the bama scheme due to your incredibly beat up secondary with misdirection. Seeing as how your lb have had trouble sealing the edges in the games I have watched this season, it at least gives us a chance.

In case anyone needed a reminder of how sick Robinson is against us.

Denard Robinson is ... ND's nightmare - Big Ten Blog - ESPN

Robinson completed only three of his first 13 pass attempts for 59 yards with a touchdown and two interceptions before firing a 77-yard pass to Junior Hemingway at the end of the third quarter.
:rockwoot:
Robinson connected on 7 of 10 pass attempts for 202 yards and three touchdowns with one interception in the fourth quarter

Gary Gray is not on the team anymore. He single-handedly lost the game last year. I think our guys will have figured out by now to stop and look for the ball when the WR stops.
