Theres a lot of Gerry Faust in Brian Kelly?

You're comparing their love for Notre Dame and our Lady, aren't you? I see it too.

Someone needs to start a thread who thinks Kelly is the man for the job.I'm for.Kelly knows a defense is what wins, just ask ALA and LSU.The offense will improve as the year goes on,I wander if jet lag,the fact that we destroyed Purdue last, that made us overlook them and them mad.I think we will find that Purdue is better than we thought.Plus looking towards Mich St, thats why Saban goes crazy when people tell them how good they are,he knows that players don't get up week to week and get mentally prepared.

It's funny how in every profession people acknowledge that there are bad days and good days. Except football coaches.

In hindsight there were probably a few things BK should have done differently, but you can't blame him for not anticipating the tackling misses by the corners or whiffs on the line by Golic and Cave or Slaughter, KLM and Eifert being out of the game.

And putting in Goodman and Rees in the end was pretty shrewd, as we all saw. Not an intuitive move but pretty savvy.

Yeah, just read the latter part of your delusional rant Patulski...

Lay off the Absenthe.

Easily one of dumbest, ignorant, old timer rants I've ever seen....

Haha. Patulski posted that rant and then hasn't said anything since. He still got 69 posts out of it.

Yeah, my post is #69. It's going to be a good Sunday.

Wow, really some people don't know what it is like. I myself am a D1 college athlete, (granted not on the same level as ND football), but seriously these are young adults playing the game.

These games happen in every sport and all it does is build character and team chemistry. How can you be pissed off when these kids played all out with people getting hurt and backing each other up and WINNING THE GAME. You can't win every game by 21 points. It's not going to happen. Seriously just relax and let them play.

Not my fault the Bears have a noon kickoff. Buddy has 2 TVs and Sunday Ticket with a mini keg. Fantasy Football is in full swing.

Your bears are playing my colts eh?

So you had 2 tvs to watch that pick 6 ;)

Are we really going to have to listen to Patulski all season?

This dude is tiring.

We do have an offensive identity; we take advantage of opponents' weaknesses. That's what the 2 TE sets were installed for this summer. When we play an undersized front 7 like navy, we line up in 2 TE's and run all over them. When we play a team with a big, nasty d-line, we run 4 wide spread and toss the ball around. The thing with Purdue's defense is that they sold out to stop the run, but they also had corners that can handle themselves 1 on 1. Fortunately, Kelly didn't try to pound it down their throats and he didn't try to make Golson beat their CB's with amazing throws. He called passing plays that called for mismatches or easy throws for our young qb. I'd call that pretty smart coaching.

Best post I've seen all morning!

I am just going with a bowl of cinnamon toast crunch and an orange I am really hungover.

You should trade out the orange for a banana. Oranges have citric acid in them and bananas are filled with potassium. They are a really good hangover fruit.

Guh, yes. Other TV is the Skins game though. I have the Saints D playing.

Breakfast included A Jimmy Johns sub with BBQ chips and a keg of beer. Let's do this.
