Who will have the better record for 2012?
O'Leary
It has it's tough games but I'm not sure any schedule that has South Dakota State and Rice can be considered as "brutal"

It is when you have KU's talent.
Steele's lists KU with the 11th Toughest Schedule while New Mexico has the 97 Toughest.
I posted this in the other charlie weis vs. bob davie thread. I now realize that I was flying solo in that one. BTW- why the he!l are there 2 threads for this??? Anyway:
Weis in 2012. Also Weis for their respective careers. Although both have demonstrated an ability to be ineffective as head coaches, I think Weis' involvement in both the college and pro game gives him an edge over Davie and his semi involvement calling mostly 2nd-rate games for espn these past 10 or so years. Plus, KU is the better and more relevant program.
Only other prediction is that Weis may eat Davie at some point.
Those would be the only easy games I see on that schedule, the rest of the opponents range from respectable to nasty imo.
As far as who will have the better record for 2012, I went with Weis, but I might change my vote. Bob Davie can coach defense, Weis knows offense. On the other hand, Kansas's biggest problem is on defense (9 of their 12 opponents last year put up 40+ points, while giving up 59+ points in 4 of those) which is bad for Weis. While New Mexico's schedule is somewhat weaker, they seem to have problems on both sides of the ball. I expect New Mexico's defense to improve a bit under Davie, but I have no idea how their offense will fair.
I think Davie has a chance to win 5 games, I see Weis winning between 4-6 games.
