That's my issue as well. If our standard helmet was still that flat brown color, I wouldn't care so much, but the new helmets they unveiled last season are easily the most beautiful piece of athletic equipment I've ever seen. Why mess with that? If you want to slap a Shamrock sticker on the side or something, that's one thing... but dropping those glorious golden domes for that helmet makes me scratch my head.

Now more than ever, gleaming golden helmets are the essential piece of ND's uniform. If you're gonna change it, even for one game, it had better be good.
