I got into a huge argument with a bunch of LSU fans late last night in Wrigleyville... these guys were trashing ND of course and were claiming that the integrity and academic quality of LSU trumps all, including ND. I nearly lost it trying to explain to them how, to put it nicely, incorrect they were, while they stood there and ignored logic. This happening now just makes it feel so much better.

F the SEC. F Les Miles. F LSU.

If all he did was smoke some pot, then we haven't really learned anything from Michael Phelps. That being said, if he transfers somewhere D2 then ends up in the NFL, he should go to the Lions. They'd win the Super Bowl. :) Oh and btw...I'm from Michigan and I didn't know that to the rest of the world dope = heroine. I almost got beat up for calling him a dope smoker. Who knew? Sheesh.

I think its all this drug test stuff is a cover up. I think, to get kicked out of an SEC school, he must have actually gone to class and truly flunked out of college, which would be to embarrassing to admit.

Just dont smoke when you will be tested. If you want to smoke do it in the offseason...

I do not understand how we still care about people smoking pot. A judoka form NJ got kicked out of the Olympics for popping for marijuana. I don't get the connection between weed and sports, and why they are even testing for it. By the time this kid has retired from football, it will be as legal as cigarettes and booze. I don't smoke, but I did go to college. The stigma (or whatever is left of it) of smoking pot is absurd.

It's not that people care so much about smoking pot...it's that right now, at this time, it's illegal and if you do it you will get in trouble.

I agree it should be legalized (a different discussion) but it's not now. So shame on him.

This isn't about how "bad" weed is...its about breaking the rules

I 100% agree with you in regards to the ridiculous stigma surrounding dope in this country. That being said, if it were legal, I would imagine that the legal age to use it would have been 21. So even in a hypothetical, albiet better, world. Tyrann probably still would have been in trouble for his 1,000th bust for underage use.

Wooly, you must be older than 14, like me, I almost got punched in the mouth by and LSU fan today because I called pot dope too. Dope apparently is heroine. Anywho....I agree. Pot has a stupid stigma, and I wish it were legal. It helps my cancer patients immensely.

I was discussing this with a close friend and he had an interesting hypothetical. I know I'm going to take some flak for this, but with the multiple failed drug tests theory going around, everyone is assuming it is for marijuana. What if it's for steroids?

It's illegal. Doens't matter if there are advantages or not (obviously not).

It's a LEGAL issue....

Good point.....I think we all assume that simply because he's been busted twice already for pot

hmmm... there are a lot of credible sources out there indicating a failed drug test, but it would be interesting if everyone is assuming dope because of him being caught with fake cabbage last season. The "failed multiple tests" has only recently came up and I haven't heard anything but speculation on what drug he tested positive for.
