That would suck for the young man because he is a really good kid who came to ND for the right reasons. His dad is also one of my favorite fathers I've read about because he put his entire life on the backburner to get his son out of the ghetto.

Like I said though, I hope he sticks b/c I like the kid...

I agree with you on this. His father is also the one who found and called the ambulance for Shembo's father.

Lo's a great kid, but his chances of staying in the 2-deep with the talent we've got coming in are not good. I wouldn't blame him for wanting to transfer.

Let us not forget about Chris Badger coming in as well. I know he plays safety but just another body back there.

Per his dad, he's not transferring. We'll see if that changes.

So I came across a thread that had a mention of Lo Wood transferring. The person mentioned that mods on Irish Illustrated believe this is a done deal and there may be others.

Rumor for now and it may just be absolute garbage, but I figured I would post. Because as you know, where there is smoke.

Completely not true, and I wish ppl would stop using this expression so loosely. There was smoke the Cali kids were heading to SC. There was smoke Gunner was coming to ND. There was smoke Marshall was heading to Clemson late. There was smoke Treggs might be coming to ND. Also, since his dad has confirmed this to be untrue...more smoke with no fire. Hell the entire atmosphere filled with smoke that David Amerson was coming to ND. No fire, but that smoke cleared away just in time to see him lead the nation in INTs this year.

I'm actually glad Lo will be back. He's an awesome young man, and while he might not be the most talented DB on our roster next year, he is one of the few with experience, and is still very young with room to improve.

Anytime I'm posting any sort of rumor I've come across I'll be sure not to use the smoke comment, wouldnt wanna ruffle any feathers ;)

I'm glad to see that it was what I said it was probably was, a garbage rumor.

I really expected this to say " Lo Wood has packed his bags and headed back to Florida with what appears to be every other guy that Notre Dame has brought in from that state"

But yeah, I hope Lo has a great year. It'll be needed!

Remember last year at this time when BK said Gary Gray was practicing like an All-American? Because I do!!!!! Not buying any CB hype until after the Michigan game.

If he turned his head around he would be. Hopefully Lo is as good in the game as he is in practice.

I think this answer was specifically regarding the candidates for the open corner position opposite Jackson, not necessarily the most impressive of anyone on the team. (Which he could be too, but not necessarily, given the context of the question).
