Haha. I feel like that is not even cool. Why disrupt the practice like that. I guess he's just such a beast he can't control himself. Lol

I like Alford yelling at Davonte to, "get off the f***ing bag." Then he just gives the death stare to the others that keep hitting it.

It looks like he's flipping it over bc he's last and it needs to be turned around anyway.. ha I dont think he does that if he's first in the drill.

Awesome. Now I want to see him do that to a human being. Particularly a Michigan DL.
Maybe he could just set up outside and run down the line in the opposite direction of the play and take out 2-3 DLs at the same time.

Compared to the others, he's just a beast. The ease in which he flips it is pretty nice. Just hope he can catch.

I think the "WTF" look is more of a " ok man, we get it you're strong, but that's not the point of the drill, we can all do that to the sled if we wanted too". I'm not knocking on Niklas' strenght but sometimes you guys give the credit for the wrong reasons. Kind of like when A. lynch kept blowing by O-linemen in 1 on 1's when no one else was because he was suppose to be engaging them first and he wasn't.

Yeah, watching the video this is what I thought too, but honestly I never did a drill like that so I wouldn't know. Anyone with a high-level football background agree or disagree? I'd be interested.

Really it takes like 2 seconds to reset the sled. If anyone is upset it's probably because he's being a try hard. But really, that's what we need. We need our dudes going 100% on every play, even if at some points it may seem a little ridiculous.

Rarely do you ever see that kind a long body leverage come together with that kind of brutal raw strength.

I wouldn't say anything if I thought he was just trying harder than everyone else. the only thing he's doing different is instead of sticking with his initial jab he is moving his hands lower to lift it higher, which he would never do in a game if he got under the defenders pads in the first place, point of the drill is for good initial contact, head up and feet moving. Not denying he is the strongest TE, just that flipping the sled is not the point of the drill.

No, unless he truly plans on doing that to the UM defense. It'll be like NFL street.

Great expose of his strength...BUT...The sled is also used to work on your footwork. Short, choppy steps. I am not seeing that here. Not that I'm selling Troy short...he is a freaking animal. Can't wait to see him pancake some fools.

I hesitated to say this, fearing the blowback, because Niklas is clearly a fan favorite and he seems like a super nice kid. But since you stuck your neck out, I'll concur with your thoughts. Not really a knock on Troy, but I think it explains Eifert's reaction more than shock and awe.

Agreed. First thing I thought but like many others thought they would get ripped. It is cool he can do that and all. Yes he is strong. But not really showing the technique needed in the drill. Ill bet you do not see him do this again. Coach wont let that happen. Actually kinda surprised he did the first time.
