The staff also told Torii that he would be used in a similar way to Theo Riddick; In the slot, outwide, and in the back field which he liked.

I'd caution the optimism. He just started taking visits. Going to have to beat Oklahoma, Arkansas, Oklahoma State, etc. for his services.

If our offense performs the way we all hope this year and guys like davonte and riddick play great in the same type or role, it's going to help immensely with recruiting athletes like Hunter.

Who knows - if we get off to a great start kids we didn't think we had a shot at or didn't follow yet could become interested. Remember Davonte this time last year? Didn't think there was a remote chance of landing him. So you combine that with the cohesiveness and quality of our current class, and I'm excited to see where recruiting will go the rest of the year.

I believe what he was saying is that the character is already there, and the person makes themselves, and that Notre Dame is spiritual place where that can occur, much more than it shapes character or molds minds. It is a refinement more than manufacturing.
