Forgive me for my next question. Does the home team automatically get 3 points for home field advantage?

I thought I heard this somewhere before. If so the Michigan, Michigan State, and Stanford games should be good ones based on these spreads.

The Irish are only favored by 5 over BYU at home? Is the Mormon Tabernacle Choir projected to be that good this season?

BYU is always a scrappy team and visitors coming into ND stadium always seem much more pumped up to play.

Seriously, I'm not sure what the hype is behind BYU. Everyone wants to talk about how they have so many players coming back from last years 10 win season. And.......... Lets recap over BYU's great 10 win season.

14-13 win over Ole Miss (Ole Miss ehhh, bottom tier team in SEC)
17-16 loss to Texas (Texas only won 7 season games)
54-10 Win vs Utah (It's Utah, come on)
24-17 win vs UCF (One touchdown win against UCF)
27-24 win vs Utah State (Utah State, enough said, they won by a FG)
29-16 Win vs San Jose State (San Jose State who?)
38-28 win vs Oregon State (Good win)
56-3 vs Idaho state (Idaho state who?)
38-28 LOSS to TCU
42-7 win vs Idaho (Wow way to beat up on the state of Idaho)
42-7 win vs New Mexico State (Wippty doo!)
41-20 win vs Hawaii (Wippty doo!)
24-21 win vs Tulsa (Congrats on the Bell Helicopter Bowl Win)

That's at best 1 maybe legit win against Oregeon State, everyone else were cupcake 2nd tier D1 schools.

I like our chances, I think we make a big statement and put up a $hit ton of points against this new INDY school.

That is right because Notre Dame only plays juggernauts and would never play teams that finish the season with a losing record

The -13.5 against navy is by far the easiest bet out there. I also really like the +4 and +2.5 against MSU and Michigan. I really dislike the spread for Miami and Wake Forest.

Looks like a fair opening line for the season. I'm sure there will be a few surprises in there, some bad but also some good. All I know is must win game of the year, Michigan. Don't fail me coach.

How is that view from your high horse?

BTW Oregon State was absolutely pitiful last year, even the hardcore Beaver haters felt bad for them.

No kidding, BYU beat the teams they were supposed to beat, got a bowl win and finished the season 10-3. Not even remotely close.

I think you're missing the point here Choch, and yes it's a nice clear view up here.

Do you feel that breeze going over your head, that's common sense passing you bye.

ya, you definitely missed the point. I was talking about the schedule, not results, but way to try and change the subject when you know you are beaten.

You do realize that Notre Dame would have probably been undefeated (maybe a loss to TCU) with Nate Montana having that schedule right and still would not have gotten to the NCG...

Bottomline, people are overestimating BYU, their schedule was easier than a MAC schedule last year.

I am all over that Michigan game. Will bet my house (ok, my vacation fund). I absolutely refuse to buy Michigan as a legitimately good team.

Good enough to beat us for 3 straight...

What does that have to do with this year? I watched the games. Michigan is not impressive.

I refuse to buy them as a legit team as well, but they have our number regardless of how good or bad you think they are. Another year under Hoke and Mattison.
