Who else thinks he might have found a new favorite player in this young man. Everything he says or does just seems to ooze class and maturity. He has eye popping skills and leadership qualities that make him a very rare young player indeed. I am looking forward to cheering on #1 for years to come.

He makes me forget about the kid who has the initials AL.... and TS, RD, etc.. LOL.

It's early, but I think he has direct impact on bringing in at least 2 other studs this year. Maybe 3.

It auto reduces my page format so that I have to zoom in to view new posts. Lol.

Besides being a great young man and tremendous talent, he's a hell of a hard worker. He's all over the trail! Definetly see great things in our future!

This kid wants it all. He'll hit the recruiting trail as hard as the coaches. And will likely be more effective since he has zero rules to abide by. GO Jaylon!

Jaylon Smith is going to get a lot of seriously talented kids to look at Notre Dame this cycle, but let's not pretend that Jaylon Smith is better at recruiting than the coaches... hahah

Is it sad that I'm happy the thread added a page so the formatting isn't all out of wack anymore?

On a serious note, though, in my opinion Jaylon will have more of an impact on guys who were serious about ND before or on the fence. I'm sure he'll get some elite players interested, but not on as large a scale as we think. Vonn Bell is a perfect example. Hell give a listen but people here are right, what are the chances he'd leave? These guys all recruit each other but in the end, seem to always respect each others decision. Same with Hargreaves; he seemed legitimately interested before and this is just one more positive to add to his overall recruitment. But hey I could be wrong, and I hope I am. Jaylon is a special player so I'll just sit back and let it unfold.

Call me crazy, but it just seems that with guys like Jaylon, Heuerman, Zaire, Butler, Elmer etc etc down the line this class is choc full of guys who are not only great athletes, but also really good kids who truly love ND. I just have the feeling that this 2013 class is headed for greatness.

Did Bell really have that poor of a visit? Usually kids that visit on their own dime in the spring we are at least in the running for...

Jaylon posted this about 20 minutes ago:

Might just be talking in general terms but given the recent visits could we be looking at a new commit in the near future?

Looks promising to me, I'm wondering if he knows something already that we don't, I wouldn't be surprised, why wouldn't other elite athletes join Smith? I know it's a bias opinion and all, but why not?

So you're saying he's a silent? Jk

You gotta like our chances with him and would be nice to keep our foot in GA!

I do like our chances. But who is a silent in freaking June? Its not like we need to hold a spot for him right now.

Another video interview with Jaylon after his committment. But in this one, Jaylon drops the bomb that his brother probably would've chose ND if he would've had the grades. Excellent Interview
