Would you trade in a pro teams championship/big win for one from ND?

Since its the offseason I thought this might be a fun topic on here. If you could go back and have ND win a big game, bowl, or championship in exchange for your favorite pro team giving up thiers from the same year would you? For example I'm a St. Louis Cardinal fan but I would trade in their World Series from this year for a win in the USC game. On the flip side in the 06/07 season I would not trade in Peyton Manning's Super Bowl win for a win in the Sugar Bowl. Thought this might make for some interesting discussion how bout it guys?

None of my years match up but I don't think I would want to exchange them anyways. I want my teams to earn it on the field. Although if I did have a 2005 team that matched up I would be tempted to trade for the USC game

Never. Championships are elusive enough as it is.

If I could trade pro championships for ND wins I would retroactively become a fan of whatever team wins the WNBA each year and trade it for whatever was the most painful loss that year for ND. Like Michigan last year, all those Navy losses, and USC in 2005

What the hell is wrong with you??? I'd give my left testicle to see my Indians win a World Series. I honestly have persistent dreams about the day I can watch them celebrate on TV, or holy sh!t if I could even be there in person. I rarely cry, if ever, but would bawl like a baby. I wouldn't even be able to function for the next few days I'd be so happy.

Trade that for one win in a relatively meaningless year? I don't care about the implications that game had on the program or even the rest of the season.

And to answer your question, as a Cleveland fan I don't really have any big victories to trade for anything. I'm broke.

Dont get me wrong I loved seeing the Cards win but I have more emotinal attatchment to the irish than the cards. I get what youre saying for me though USC especially USC this year wouldve been a more emotional victory than the world series though. In 2010 when we beat USC I was barely able to function the next day due to my happines I watched the highlights over and over, was reading celebration posts here all night long, the first time since I played high school football that I was so excited after a win I couldnt possibly sleep, and I bugged every co worker I had the next day due to my constant whisting of the victory match, damsha bua, and rakes of mallow. Its all good though if you wouldnt do something like that, I can respect that.

I hope none of you think Im trying to make it seem like youre a bad irish fan if you wouldnt trade I just thought it might make for a fun little discussion in the offseason.

I'd gladly trade all of the Coyotes', Diamondbacks', and Cardinals' collective achievements for a single ND title.

I'm hesitant to throw the Suns in there. Would have to think about that one. Not that there's much to trade.

No way, for me it'd be the bulls or bears. Even thought I am by far a ND ftball/ IU bball fan firs,t I couldn't do it. I was in chicago for when the Hawks won the Stanley Cup and it was absolutely nuts, and I'm not even a hockey fan. I cannot imagine chicago if the bulls or bears won a championship. I imagine a little crazier than the linebacker or CJ's after a USC win.

I'm not gonna trade anything. I like my odds for the SF 49ers, SF Giants and the Irish to all win a championship soon.

I hope youre right on that last part, D. I will mention that the last time the Giants won the series was when we beat USC and won a bowl so that might be a good omen if they win :)

I'm only a ND football fan, so I don't have anything to trade. Maybe I'd have to do something crazy like slap fight a cobra for 5 minutes as a trade.

Growing up an hour from Cleveland, I unfortunately have to say that ND has the last title won among any of the teams I follow as far as Pro and College

every time i see a highlight from the 90's teams, i wish i'd been born a decade earlier. to me there's nothing more beautiful than Jacobs Field when it's packed and loud.

I did cry myself to sleep when Jose Mesa blew the 97 world series. I was old enough for that, unfortunately.

My great sports moments are

1.) Angels WS
2.) Pens last cup win
3.) to a lesser note KU beating Memphis

that's all I got... and even though the Halos win was a big, big moment... you can take all three for one ND win over SC in 05 followed by a Rose Bowl win over Texas...

or any other recent ND title... no question.
