Did some digging, this released 11 hours ago

WVU Makes the Cut for Top 15 DE

Jefferson (NY) defensive end Ebenezer Ogundeko received a West Virginia offer earlier this month, giving them just enough time to make an impression and make his first cut from over 25 offers.

Minutes ago, the nation's No. 15 strongside defensive end gave his top ten of Notre Dame, Alabama, Miami, Florida, Syracuse, UConn, Arizona State, West Virginia and Penn State.

He followed that up by stating, "no order. No school has any leeway."

At 6-foot-4, 230 pounds, most people like Ogundeko on the line with his hand in the dirt; but he has the speed and lateral quickness to stand up as a "linebacker." In the Mountaineers' new defensive scheme, he would play in a similar position as Josh Francis did this spring.

Am I the only one that is repeatedly counting only nine teams there? haha

Penn St offered

He has had in my count since teams showed interest: a top 6, top 5, new top 5, 2 leaders in Bama and ND, a top nine, a top ten

He's got: ND, Bama, Penn St. now, pretty much all the major schools he would expect now

PSU offered yesterday. That's the only reason I could imagine why he would set a date.

He wouldn't set it that far off IMO.

Just seems like he is one of those kids that sets a date before they know where they are going.

Never understand.

Yeah if you don't know it's ok, you've got until what April? Maybe it's just the pressures these top athletes are under, I don't know or the attention they get. I know I'd have a field day with this stuff if I were in their position.

Yea Huerman did that to. Just don't understand it. He has a top 10 right now. Not a top 3 or a top 5, a top 10. This meens he is considering Atleast 10 schools right now and he wants to narrow that down in 2.5 months to 1?

I get Heuerman's though. He was down to 3 and had visited each place more than once (except OSU which he was planning to visit again at the time).

Does the date reflect before his season starts? May just know he doesn't want to go through season undecided.

His first game of the season appears to be Sept 9. I don't know when practice starts, so that may be, but it's not immediately before the games start.

could be when school itself starts. So do the insiders here think we have a decent shot with this guy?

ND led when they offered. Then He had a top 2 of Alabama and ND. Now I have no idea. I'll ask the II staff.

Sampson said "Notre Dame is a player"

Ebenezer told tunnel vision on Blue and Gold that he is visiting ND June 29 and that ND LEADS.

3:s: by every service; I'd love to have one of either him or Marcus Ball but not both with some of the big fish still out there.

I like Ogundeko a lot more than Ball. His offer list is also better with Bama, Miami, and UF offers.

Ogundeko is on the cusp of a 4 star and as offers from most everyone east of us, ball isn't anywhere close and we are his best offer

Ball will continue to climb. Cant always look at an offer list to see how good someone is. All about fit, how they market themselves and game tape. Miss one of those and a player may not have a huge list.

Does he have a decision timeline? Any real chance he could pop this weekend?

I would say that's actually the best way to gauge how good someone is.

Except most of his highlights are on O and none are of him at LB. he will never rise above 3 stars, not enough to evaluate
