This may be more true than you think-I'm on record about Notre Dame to the IVY League or MAC and Kelly wants to take the field against the Ala/Ga/Clemson people with equal talent to show many people were wrong about him-it could be a wake up call for Notre Dame but I dont think they are ever changing their stance on the college life experience so I'm not to excited about the next ten years and probably 2 coaching changes-boy do I hope I'm wrong. As you all know I'm not to happy about losing him-still think he's a top 5 coach in the country who may struggle at first until he gets his type of player in there.

As a result of the war, enrollment at Notre Dame plummets and the university is in dire financial straits. The university president offers up the campus as a “military training ground.” The Army declines, but the Navy, in April 2023 will create a V7 Indoctrination School on the ND Campus. 900 men (and women) will descend upon the campus and become apprentice seamen. A contact between the US Navy and Notre Dame will provide millions of dollars to keep the university afloat, in exchange for meeting the infrastructure and administrative needs of the Naval forces.
As such, the futures of the US Navy & Naval Academy and the University of Notre Dame will become inextricably linked.
