Alright I live smack in the middle of SEC country and am surrounded by georgia and florida fans. I have been running some numbers but I need more help to keep my **** talking up to par... If anyone else is living in sec country this may help you too. I ran some numbers to prove to these dilusional fans that ND does play good football. They seem to laugh at the fact that Notre Dame even exists....which in turn makes me laugh. All I hear is ND doesnt play anyone and SEC scheduling is so much better. So, Me being the worthless and lonely young man with too much time on my hands that I am, I compiled some scheduling comparisons and interesting facts about ND and the top three SEC teams right behind ND.

Alabama - 10-1
Vs. Top 30 teams (according to Sagarin Ratings) 3-1
Combined oppenents record - 61-59
Vs. the FCS 1-0
Number NON-AQ schools played - 3
Record vs. NON AQ schools - 3-0

Georgia - 10-1
Vs. Top 30 teams (according to Sagarin Ratings) 1-1
Combined oppenents record - 51-66
Vs. the FCS 1-0
Number NON-AQ schools played - 3
Record vs. NON AQ schools - 3-0

Florida - 10-1
Vs. Top 30 teams (according to Sagarin Ratings) 3-1
Combined oppenents record - 69-50
Vs. the FCS 1-0
Number NON-AQ schools played - 3
Record vs. NON AQ schools - 3-0

Notre Dame - 11-0
Vs. Top 30 teams (according to Sagarin Ratings) 3-0
Combined oppenents record - 63-45
Vs. the FCS 0-0
Number NON-AQ schools played - 1 (navy)
Record vs. NON AQ schools - 1-0

Keep in mind that in the combined oppenents record every time an SEC played a FCS team it automatically counted as an 0-10 team.

IMHO, it looks to me that Florida should definately be ranked ahead of UGA, if not even BAMA. According to those numbers Notre Dame is the best team because of the bold numbers. So all of this Irrelevant, just for talking ****. However the Irish have to go take care of biz on Saturday or nothing matters at all.

If anyone else has any more dirt or statistics that make Notre Dame look cooler than the SEC post em here. You might be helping a Domer living in an atrocious area of the country surrounded by stupid rednecks that root for teams like georgia and florida!

This usually shuts up people who say Notre Dame doesn't have any talent and is lucky:

Te'o - top 15 pick for sure, maybe much higher
Tuitt - Kiper said he'd be a 1st round pick if he came out right now
Nix - haven't seen a grade or anything, but I can't see his combination of size, strength and athleticism getting out of the first round; absolutely invaluable player for a team who runs a 3-4 in the NFL
KLM - mid-round grade as 5th-year senior... not really that close to the most "talented" player in the front
Shembo - surely will be drafted... could rise like a rocket if he has a big year next season; potential 2nd round pick IMO
Day - 5* EE who makes plays every time he's in the game; will be in the NFL some day

And I have no idea about Danny Spond's NFL prospects, but he is 250 (just like Shembo) and can run like hell (just like Shembo).

This front 7 is STACKED. Not to mention Calabrese and Fox (NFL future?) are senior leaders.

Look... I hate SEC fans and their uneducated, arrogant, and down right idiotic opinions about college football more than anyone.

However, they have won the BCS six straight times. A couple of those games being football games that were never in doubt. IF we want to shut them up, we have to beat them. It's that simple. There is no stat comparing schedule ranks, and number of wins vs top. 40 schools that will top SIX straight titles.

This is not to be a dick to your post either, it looks like you have put time and effort into finding these stats. That is great

But if you want to shut up Georgia Fans. Remind them that they haven't won a title since 1980!!! I mean seriously what makes them such a great program over the last 15 years. A BCS victory over Hawaii?? I pray they somehow beat Alabama.

But one more time, we will never shut them up until we beat them on the biggest stage. No matter what regular season schedule we play

I totally agree that right now the SEC is king until someone beats them and they don't win a National Championship. They are still the best conference in the country and may have the best teams in the country. I just get sick of hearing that Notre Dame doesn't play anoyone and they are terrible. If they played in the SEC they would 5-6 right now. It just makes me laugh. But, thats why they play the games. When we beat USC and Notre Dame is waiting to see who comes out that will be a long 4 weeks, to talk a lot crap and get a lot of crap...I look forward to it.

To listen to a Georgia fan you would think they have back to back national championships and over 10 in their history. I swear Georgia's fanbase has the biggest "legend in their own mind" complex in college football.

Jarron Jones will have 4 years of eligibility next year. Ishaq is a big *** dude who will play that flex position (CAT). Springmann is just a pup and looks serviceable, at least. Okwara is a linebacker but is in that same boat.

Gotta recruit some more big guys in 2013.

That's all I want most SEC fanboys to acknowledge. I never say that Notre Dame should be favored or we'd win 10 out of 10 times against Alabama/Georgia/whoever. I always say they would be tough games and Notre Dame COULD beat any of those teams, but of course they could beat us. All I want is an acknowledgement of that fact. You'd be surprised how hard it is just to get an SEC homer to say that...it's damn near impossible.

Anyone who watches college football and says that Notre Dame is terrible. Is someone I would no longer want to converse football with. It really is just blind hatred at that point.

It will arguably be the longest four weeks of my life, luckily ill have finals and then the Holiday Season to take my mind off it at times.

But first things first BEAT SC!

This is my experience as well. And when I make logical posts about how Notre Dame was not been outplayed a single time this year, or why Purdue/BYU/Pitt games went how they did, my posts get ignored. And when I explain the elite talent ND has up front, I also get ignored.

I don't know why I bother. It's like talking to babies.

I live in SEC country too. So sick of listening to same old S--T! Surrounded by Bama fans. I say bring them on! If we had won out and ended up playing KS or Oregon I still would have tortured by these ignorant red necks. At least for me, if ND vs Bama comes to fruition it will be done! Nobody will give us a chance! Similar to us on road at Oklahoma. I think we will shock the nation and beat Bama and I can look those Bama fans in the face and tell them. "SHUT THE F UP"!!!

You know the SEC has reigned over college football for awhile now, who better to turn the tides than Notre Dame! It's just time brothers, it's just time.

This is why I don't understand why Bama would be a double-digit favorite as they're saying. I can see them as the favorite based on experience alone, but not by 10+ points. But I'll be glad if that materializes because it'll put a chip on our boys' shoulders.

It is time. Our success has turned into this "feel good" story with the media. Like we are some sort of cinderella team going deep in March Madness. No. We are not a cinderella team. We are ND, returning to glory, and taking back our seat among the top teams in CFB. It's time for us to dethrone the SEC. It's time for us to show CFB that we do it the right way. We are not a cinderella. We are ND.

As someone mention we have Jarron Jones who is currently RS (it is what it is) and we have 2013 recruit Isaac Rochell.

It's ironic when KSU and Oregon fans were talking down to us like we're the upstarts or something. Granted Oregon's had a couple of good years lately but seriously what has that team ever won? The few KSU fans that exist the world for the most part weren't bad.

An ND classmate of mine lives just on the southern edge of Mandarin. He's a former Irish grappler and dyed-in-the-wool ND man from SoCal. PM me and I'll give you his phone number. He's a bit of a crazy mutha ****a but could be a valuable source of camaraderie.

Just tell him dshans sent ya.

I understand the rationale of the thread. And I have lived in TN for 38 of 44 years. Listening to the SEC fans has made me numb to the conference. But I never believe in paper statistics until the game is played. With paper statistics, the Vols would beat Florida State by 13 points.

Lets see the Irish beat U$C and see who ND plays. Hell, the way this year has been going, if the Irish beat U$C, the boys could play Oregon in the NC game.

GO IRISH!!!!!!!!!

Yep... another interesting note/factoid, SC can absolutely beat Notre Dame, easily,... even with a backup QB. Our boys must retain their focus and come out fighting.

They can win, but there would be nothing easy about it.

My point was that a loss could easily occur, not that SC would have an easy time with it... guess I could have worded it better

SEC fan has always talked about being elite. Some of the older Irish fans can recall games when the Irish have been grossly underrated. Some justly some not. Bowl games that the Irish usually didn't belong in. More than half the time things went in favor of the Irish. History has proven the Irish can play with the SEC. Just as well as the SEC plays each other.

One ludicrous remark I heard the other day was that Vandy/Tenn/Kent/Ark/Ole Miss/Aub (bottom half of SEC) what probably be tops in any other conference. Vandy that lost to Northwestern. Tenn whos coach was just fired. Auburn and Ark and Tenn and Kent who were in close wins or losses against the Sun Belt conference. Ole Miss who was jacked up by an under achieving Texas team. SEC fan brings up the string of NCs and that is impressive. However with the recent trend of auto bid for the SEC champ and in some years a 1or 2 loss non SEC champ getting to the NC is 3/4 the battle. It hard to argue the championship pedigree. But the myth that the SEC is far superior from top to bottom is a joke. They are no different than any other conference with the haves and have nots. Lets not get into the fact that some SEC players although talented lack the skills needed to be admitted in certain schools in other conferences. I think even Vandy has relaxed its admissions a touch.

I have said since mid season that the SEC isnt what they have been even last year. They can be very good and certainly belong in the conversation but this year there not much separation if any between the SEC elite and the Irish. Not saying the Irish would win them all in that conference but they sure would be at the very least way over 500.

Agreed. Especially with your comment that they lack the skills to be admitted in certain schools. It's unfortunate that that doesn't matter to many people anymore.
