Here's hoping we pull a rabbit out of our @$$ for either Poole or Darby on NSD. And maybe even Neal after the fact. Could still be a hell of a finish!

We turned down so many guys that look like ridiculous choices now:

Bolden
Schutt
McNamara
Destefano
Ekanem

Not to mention us not pushing for Yuri Wright and Marcus Rios because Darby was on board. Oh well.

There is also a poster over at 247 claiming something good is on the horizon.. Seems to be respected. He claimed it about a week ago so folks are trying to figure out if it's still relevant.

I'm kind of surprised none of the mods or insiders have caught wind wind of anything. Sapp claimed Poole was the only thing floating around.

Goodman has 2 years in the Kelly system, he is big, fast, and smart. IMO i am happy he is coming back and will prove his worth.

Agreed. I think of guys have we seen come back for a 4th or 5th year after seeming like the invisible man and make big contributions? Goodman might be a real sleeper.

Just saying, that I wouldn't be surprised if there is some off the radar kid that picks up an offer after NSD and the quiet periods are over.

I'd love to have gotten a couple of these targets, but right now I really don't care. I think this class is full of quality kids and we should be happy.

So process of elimination it's Poole. Timing of it makes sense, word of a big news came out the same day as Kelly's in-home visit and the writing on the wall has Nelson going to sc.

I haven't seen one concrete piece of evidence that suggests we aren't in Neal's top 2. Until I see that I think we have better than average chance to land him considering Ohio State might have trouble fitting him into the class. And if we do get someone like Poole on NSD, along with Neal, this class will be beyond awesome
