As other gamers will tell you (as someone who dabbles now, but doesn't consistently play anymore). EA is the king of micro transactions. With the fact they had so much time off of NCAA, they needed to reboard their user base with "the way things used to be" and now that they've hooked some, they're now bringing the base up to the current junk state of video gamesSounds like EA already jumping the shark, and CFB has only been out for three years now.
They took away the ability to set “Coach XP Progression” to the fast/fastest settings… you have to purchase those progression rates now.
It also sounds like recruiting IN AN OFFLINE DYNASTY may require real cash investment for NIL boost.
How do you ruin one of the most beloved game franchises ever? You put single-player, sandbox content behind paywalls.
I’m not in college, I don’t have time to play the game for 40+ hours a week, but I also don’t want to invest my limited time into a dynasty where my coach will never reach his full (fake) potential in such a way that realistically makes recruiting and roster management easier as you play and win.
I think I’m boycotting CFB 27
I won’t be playing until they bring back the option the way I use to run it!Sounds like EA already jumping the shark, and CFB has only been out for three years now.

Are you sure all this? I’ve been playing and I messed with the xp for nothing,… let me go double check here in an hour or so. I know for a fact your NIL goes up naturally with success. I started with 300 season 1 at Utep and ten wins later it’s at 750 year two… so while you may be able to buy more if you want to game the system it’s for sure not something you need. My coach started at level 1 obviously and in game three season 2 I’m a level 18,…Sounds like EA already jumping the shark, and CFB has only been out for three years now.

Which way is that? I’ll look at the play books today too if you wantI won’t be playing until they bring back the option the way I use to run it!

EDIT: So I’m in the game right now and you can adjust the coach xp sliders like years past without paying. My settings that got my coach to level 18 were set on normal speed fwiw, you could jump way up apparently in one season if you set it to fast or fastest.
I’m actually not seeing anywhere to buy NIL funds, maybe it’s in the central hub but it’s not embedded in the dynasty menus itself and trust me, you won’t need to purchase them unless you’re actively wanting to take advantage of it and boss mode the game unrealistically
I did pre order but I forget which one I did. It wasn’t the one that was top tier that gave you early access and a bunch of addition stuff… I know that.Did you pre-order with MVP+ or whatever that was?
It had the plays in last years game but the mechanics were poor at best in my opinion. Made the game unlikable for me.Which way is that? I’ll look at the play books today too if you want
This is why I never understood career modes not having the option,… I checked you can not buy NIL in 27. There’s been years in NHL, FIFA, The Show where I would gladly spend ten extra bucks to jump start my career but all the micro transactions for sports games are always geared toward the online fantasy card modes,… if they make so much only why not give the option while not making changes to the core franchise modes for those who don’t want itI don't know anything about video games, but I did lead a global team that recruited for 2K for about 2 years. The one thing that stuck with me after working with the 2K people is how the overwhelming majority of their revenue comes from in-game micropurchases.

I mean, it’s literally everywhere else,… so long as they leave the game alone but allow the option,…Good idea Satan.

If yall have the PC version, a new mod just dropped that adds all the real life 2027 and 2028 recruits into dynasty.
I havent installed it yet so I cant vouch, but that seems really fucking cool
(I agree microtransactions are a plague, but it hasn't affected my enjoyment of this game. Im having so much fun!)
This is a great example of why I'm leaning so hard into PC though. On PC when devs do something that negatively affects my enjoyment of the product, it's very likely that someone smarter than me has already jailbroken the game and modded those restrictions out.
I’m confused,… I can move the sliders and I didn’t buy anything but the game and the NIL stuff confirmed not true,.. what’s all the blowback??As folks are saying, I dont blame the devs. There's a lot of news coming out that the devs were horrified by the decision to add those microtransactions and predicted the blow back
They made an awesome game and it was the bosses who made the decision to get gross with it.
Apparently it was a surprise to them and it's kinda verified that the same sliders as last year are in the game files, they're just blocked. So the devs didn't know.

What world am I living in?? In offline dynasty as it too is the only thing I play,… My coach is progressing nicely,… without touching anything. I don’t even see an option to pay extra money for coaching upgrades or NIL and I spent time looking to see what the fuss was all about,… I’m like, ‘is this a psyop?’In offline dynasty (which is the only thing many of us do with the game) last year they had a slider that accelerated your coach progress which brings a lot of benefits and cool stuff to make you better if you win
This year, they removed that slider and you have to pay to get your coach to get good over the years.
After testing, folks have shown that even if you win 10 natties in a row, you dont level up in any serious way without paying nearly 100 extra dollars
Its egregious and terrible. Especially for an offline mode meant only for your personal enjoyment.
PC users will likely be able to mod their way out of it, and EA have already capitulated in adding an option which allows you to progress at "1.5" speed for your coach. But that is only half speed as it was last year
The devs were not told about this and they're mad too
(I've been reading way too much about this... lol)
There's a massive pushback that is forcing EA's hand on the whole thing
One of the biggest content creators who worked closely with EA has completely broke ties and it has them scrambling
(Bordeaux if youre interested...)
It's kinda fascinating. Its capitalist on labor/end user violence
The big problem, in short, is that it's a fantastic game thats super well made ruined by greed
"im really sorry I do posts like that, it's the way I have to write reports at work and it's just reflex at this point!"

I assume someone simmed 30 years and you just can’t get to 100? I’ve been playing and am at level 28 and in year three,.. where is everyone seeing the option to buy coach points? I’m not even seeing anything. Not got that or NILNobody with a developed frontal lobe actually has a problem with their coach not reaching Level 100. Most of it is in principle or content creators appealing to teenage complainers.
