Mad at myself. Just hired a guy. Originally from Michigan but moved here after graduating from Butler. After a couple of days of settling in, I go over to talk to him and on his desk is a scUM mini-helmet. I should have asked him if he was Sparty or scUM during the interview. lol

Maybe it's time to insist that he works remote.

Irish #1: 5 minutes into the interview - "Quick aside, I like to keep things light....are you a football man? If so, who's your team?"

Candidate: "michigan."

Irish #1: "thanks for coming in...we'll be in touch." (as if)

Obviously he's creating an unsafe work environment. Sounds fire-able to me

Elevator decorum. My office is on the 4th floor of a lecture hall. Stairs everywhere and a few times a week I'll take the stairs all the way up but obviously not every time or even usually. If work takes me to the other floors I'll almost always take the stairs. Anyway, almost every day I'm trying to get to my office on the 4th and I'll have to stop at every floor for someone going up or down one story, and no they are almost always able bodied. Dude, if you are on the 2nd floor and just need to go to the 3rd do everyone a favor, including yourself, and just take the damn stairs, it saves everyone else time and helps your own health,... but no, every damn day. I'm stopped on 2 for someone who will stop me again just to go to 3.

I hate when people who want to get on the elevator don't wait for those getting off.

Reminds me of my college dorm that was 10 stories tall. If someone on the 4th floor or lower stopped the elevator to ride down, we wouldn't let them get on. Walk your lazy ass down the stairs, you're a college student.

‘Do some research’ as some kind of trump card in online disagreements. I see this constantly now. I’ll come across two people or two groups arguing in the wild and inevitably one drops, ‘do some research’. I’ve pretty much come to the conclusion whoever drops that is full of shit and probably hasn’t done any actual research in their lives. I don’t care what your defending or fighting,… 🤷‍♂️

When someone pulls out in front of you and while you’re breaking and thinking of flipping the bird you notice their license plate is repping your school you be like “aight… you’re cool.”

With the Air Force here we actually see a lot of different schools repped. Passed a truck the other day with an Idaho Vandals plate. Can’t get mad about that.
