Been listening to a lot of Beach Boys the last couple of days. They have this total experimental song called Vegetables. It's not good and probably even worse than Revolution #9 by the Beatles. But Paul McCartney was there and played on it, which is kind of cool.

I've been playing a lot of The Who as well.

Went to the Linkin Park concert in Detroit last night. Always had wanted to see them when I was younger, but never got the chance. The new female lead singer isn't bad, brought a ton of energy to the stage. She did bust out a couple nice screams Chester would be proud of

A friend turned me on to " Foxes and Fossils" . Really impressive cover band from Georgia. Great clips on YouTube.

Saw Oasis live at Soldier Field in Chicago Thursday night. Show of a lifetime for me. Incredible.

Cage the Elephant opened. I really enjoyed their vibe.

Weather was outstanding.

Plenty of police presence around the stadium and in the city. Didn't see a single homeless person, panhandler, crackhead, gang banger, whatever.

I've gone to concerts but I've never been in a venue this large with this many people. It was an experience. Still feel like I'm coming down from it.

Got to see Brand New in Philly this summer, and Thursday in Allentown. Had a chance at seeing Coheed (for the 5th time) and Taking Back Sunday in Philly last week, but it just didn't work out. Would have been nice to see all 4 bands in one summer since they all came out at the same time, together, from the same scene.

Thursday killed it too.

So Billy Idol with Joan Jett at LA Forum. Billy still rockin but not at the level of 19 years ago. Stage energy and movement is minimal. Sounds good and guitarist Steve Steven’s is amongst the best. Throw in some toad the wet sprocket and vertical horizon.
