Crist doesn't get hurt in the michigan game? Rees was thrown into action that game burning his redshirt , because he was further along with the offense. There is the possibility if he didn't burn his shirt then, he would not have led ND to 4 straight victories later in the year. Maybe Kelly would have gone to Massa or Hendrix.

What if, what if.

If we beat Michigan, Michigan State, and Tulsa, we're probably looking at a bowl game in which we are utterly humiliated by a vastly superior team.

we would have won the national championship

Not this.

What if, what if.

This. We ended up exactly where we needed to be in terms of show casing the the team for this stellar recruiting effort. You think this class would be intact had there been a couple losses in that stretch?

I'll be happy to take a BCS non-championship game next year.

There would have been more inaccurate throws in the final few games? Just kiddin' Dayne.

Amazing how many posters have ordained Crist next year's starter because Rees threw THE INT against Tulsa. At least he threw a ball someone on the field could catch.

Dayne has a Federal Express Arm. Problem is you never know which zip code the ball will end up in.

haha, I chuckled at both of those.
In all fairness, from what I've read about the young man he has the physical tools to be able to make plays and help Coach Kelly's offense flourish, so I sincerely hope he gets a shot at playing.

Yes he does. He just had no game experience and he's an ACL away from being the starter.

I really don't have a horse in the race. I hope the most effective guy wins. Not the best athlete, the strongest arm, or the quickest legs. I want the guy that can make the reads, move the chains, and produce TDs. The W's will follow.

What if we beat Tulsa, State, Michigan, Navy and Stanford???

Then we get blown out BIG TIME in the NC game by Auburn or Oregon
Whilst the other gets screwed out of the game...so there is a huge controversy and the BCS falls

nah
the BCS is still alive and well and not going anywhere yet
there is controversy nearly every year

I'm satisfied with the 8 win season to get the ball rolling for Coach Kelly.

I hate hypotheticals, so I'll just take reality

What if Colt McCoy didn't get injured against Alabama in the 2009 BCS title game? What if Michigan and that school in ohio got a rematch for the 2006 BCS title?

All that matters from that game is what is in my sig folks. At the end of the day, we'll never know.

What if Denard Robinson gets injured and misses the first half of the game?

Nice sig, looking forward to next years game even more every time I look at it.
