This will be the first release of it. Stone use to make a Black IPA but it has been discontinued (Sublimely Self-Righteous Ale | Stone Brewing Co. | BeerAdvocate).

Sorry, yes. We got Green Flash products maybe 18 months ago and man have I enjoyed it. We've had Dales on tap here for a similar amount of time and before I saw everyone raving about Dales I thought it was just some scrub beer. Honestly though I still rarely order it.

I don't love Dale's Pale Ale but it is reasonably priced here ($8 for a 6 pack, and about half the time I have a coupon for my local place that gets it down to $7), and it comes in a can so it can be taken many places that bottles can't go. Definitely not my favorite beer, but great to have while cooking or after doing some yard work.

I really like most Green Flash beers.


ETA: Sometimes people get confused by West Coast IPA as well. It use to be a regular IPA at 7.3% but a little while ago they upped the alcohol to 8.1% and it is now a DIPA even the the title still says IPA.

So I've got a big ass bottle of Dogfish Head Theobroma sitting here and I've been waiting for the right occasion to try it. It seems to me that it's probably better saved for a sharing situation. But I do want to try it... Do I dare? Or should I continue to hold it?

I had it one time before but I was pretty deep into the night when I had it. Mostly I remember it tasting like a hoppy barleywine.

How far off am I? Anything I should know (besides the fact that it has a monster abv)?
