I'm having some tomorrow. How do you normally enjoy it?

You know I've tried it at room temp, ice cold, and most places in between. I like it best a little chilled but not cold, maybe 50 degrees? Usually drink it from a snifter.

Excellent. Thanks. I got it in a trade from an old boss for a Rochefort 10. He couldn't tell me how to enjoy it so I needed the advice. Reps.

You're welcome and thanks for the reps! How did you like it?

I did. Very good stuff. I enjoyed it slightly chilled. Lots and lots of chocolate, not too much coffee (I hear that happens when it's enjoyed at temperatures warmer than very cold). Overall an excellent imperial stout, but I'm very glad I did not need to go far out of my way to get a bottle.

Green Flash Le Freak Belgian Style IPA. Tastes like the name implies. Abby Style Ale with a grapefruit IPA finish. Good change up from the usual west coast IPA's.

ah, so that is Zombie Dust... every now and then I have some beer I've never tried before at a friends house or BBQ and forget about it and then realize it's mentioned on here often... I've been wondering if that was the case with this beer, but I'm pretty sure I have never seen Zombie Dust before so yeah...

what kind of beer is it?

Shipyard's Pumpkinhead is officially available! I'll be drinking that at least until Halloween.

Pumpkin beer list in order of awesomeness:

1) Shipyard
2) Pumpking
3) Warlock
4) Schlafly
5) Aleworks

That said, I do not discriminate.

My man.

That stuff is pumpkin pie in a bottle... it's what originally got me into pumpkin ales and one of the first craft beers I ever tried many, many moons ago... it's dear to my heart. Have you had their Applehead?? basically the same thing but apple pie instead of pumpkin pie.

Ugh, I generally dislike pumpkin beers. My favorite part about this time of year is that it is time to pick hops (in North America) so we starting getting Fresh hop beers and Wet Hop beers

Sierra Nevada Northern Hemisphere Harvest Wet Hop IPA
Founders Harvest (the only Founders IPA that I enjoy)
Deschutes Hop Trip
Port Brewing High Tide
Deschutes Chasin' Freshies IPA
Sierra Nevada Celebration
Lagunitas Born Yesterday Pale Ale
etc.

Your tastes are definitely for strong hops... I would rank IPA and strong hops as my fav type of beer but I enjoy pretty much anything but Stouts and Porters... just me. If I had to rank my second fav style it would be the fruit ale and lighter beers that have adventurous stuff in them (including the the pumpkins you detest)... I'm def on board this watermelon craze too...

I'm a fan of Wasatch Pumpkin Ale and the Black O'Lantern

You should try Founders Spectra Trifecta. It's light and it's very nice. Not sure if you get it out there...

Just as a heads up Stone Enjoy By 10/31/15 was shipped at the end of last week and should be hitting stores soon.

Also to the lucky people in CA, you will be getting a Stone Enjoy By 11/27/15 Black IPA that should be bottled in about a month.
