Being at home makes me confident otherwise I would be more worried about this game. I think we win well.
Okwara: 4 sacks including a recovered fumble touchdown.

SI had an article 3 days ago....Mark May feels Urban to USC is a done deal. First off, May is a douche nozzle. However, if there is any reason to believe this is true the coaches may be mailing it in. Smoke 'em if ya got 'em.

I'm predicting ND to win by 20, but this also has a 2011-feel to it where the coach was a dead man walking, USC had elite skill but underperformed, and came in and beat us.

Hold me I'm Irish.

Night game
Lots of recruits coming in
Our team looks good
Their team looks bad

Definitely 2011 esque

There are a few teams that always seem to play "up" to ND. IMHO, USC is one of them. If USC plays well and ND plays well, they will give us some fits for the first 3/8th's of the game.

From the only USC game I have watche and reading limited "de-briefings", they will likely come up very short on both the offensive and defensive lines.

When/if this happens, they will need to rely on their running game and short yardage (slants) passes. I am confident that our DB's and LB's are up to the challenge.

On D, I think our line gives them fits, If LB's fill the gaps like the first few games there will be nowhere to go. Gilman and company do the rest.

With our ever-better OL, two tight ends and emerging running game, a struggling USC DL is going to have their work cut out. We have a lot of depth at WR and they have comparative advantages. USC has great backs but I do not think they have encountered a team with our diversity, depth and talent. I don't think they will be able to adjust "on the fly".

Head scratcher in the first half but never in doubt. We control the game in the second half.

Bold prediction... ND by 17.

Cheers and Go Irish!!

I wouldn't touch this game. Have no idea what QB shows up and have no idea if the WR's have a fire lit under their azzes. Their offense is too talented and unpredictable to mess with. Hard Pass.

ND 33 - 24

My prediction from yesterday in the USC Game thread.

Amazing the group think that goes on around here.

Today though, I'm trending towards Lea doing better than I originally thought. 27-13 is more what I'm thinking today but the week is young and I've got plenty of time to waffle up and down in the next 5 days.

Now, If 5*Phil gets 3 series, make it 48-13

Cold forecast for Saturday, possibly into the 30s during the game. I think we get up on them by 2 scores and they fold like FSU last year.

I’m in Southern cali and it’s beautiful sunshine 80s golfing weather all week. If it’s 30s at night in South Bend, I am pretty sure USC players are going internal mentally and dropping on the floor from the cold by the end of 1st quarter. I have the AC on right now and thinking of 30 degree weather gives me PTSD.

FEI projects a 16 point Irish victory, with a 79% chance of at least winning outright.

These Trojans don’t break,... 42-13 SC

Honestly though, I expect a solid win.

Reminds me of freshman year... huge, multi-story bedsheet banner on the side of Grace:

Beat the Cocks
Bust the Trojans
Bring on the Seamen..

I was scandalized. No respect at all for Army, apparently
