4 and freakin' 1 baby!!!!

SAM YOUNG!!! You redeemed yourself huge!! The O-line and D-line...what can you say? Those goal line stands!!! I gotta get ready to go to a hockey game now.

My throat burns from having vomit in my throat for the majority of the game. My head is pounding and my dogs won't come out from under the bed. I am not sure if it is because of my yelling and cursing, but a police car has passed my house three or four times. I am sure I have lost hair and I have virtually no more finger nails on either hand.

BUT IT IS SOOOOOOO WORTH IT!!!!

WE'll be ranked come tomorrow noon. Anyone disagree?

Maybe, maybe not. I'm not a sports writer, coach or a computer. I don't count for shit. But I think Mr. Clausen has certainly added a ducat or two to his Heisman account.

Michigan gave away their ranking today.

ND and UM are both 4-1 but UM has the tie breaker.

ND was a 2 TD favorite. We won in OT over UW. A better team than most think but not a ranked team.

Meanwhile there were about 6 or 7 teams ranked out of the Top 25 but still ahead of ND last week.

We need teams ahead of us to lose, a lot of them.

On the other hand his "fumble" on the backwards pass caused the game to be close. That play will make a lot of Heisman reviews.

We got a win but we also got a break, I believe.

Check the video on Hughes 2 point scrum. He was dragged across the goal line but look down at the bottom of the pile his knee is down around the 2 or 3 yd line before the final push that got him over. The refs had no way of seeing the play. He's largely buried in about 2 tons of flesh.

'Twas a boneheaded decision, no doubt. A sack, a "scramble" for a five yard loss or a laser "overthrow" that found its way out of bounds would have been preferable. Though it might, I hope that that one bad choice won't hurt his standing in light of the strides he's made and his stellar performance overall this year.

The lad is learning, improving, leading and impressive. Let's hope the efficiency statistics you note are given proper weight and carry the day.

And an irish win you get

1) Clausen is one of the best in the country

2) this team kills itself every week on both sides of the ball

3) the front 7 stepped up when they were needed most

4) i'll take charlie weis in play calling over everyone else in the country

5) everyone better get their rest for the university of spoiled children

6) golden tate and kyle rudolph...can't say enough

7) manti is growing up

8) injured or healthy allen, more HUGHES

1. We've got us a great football coach. Throw out that Wildcat look and you've got a Charlie fan for life.....

My wife flew back home from Salt Lake City, on the red eye, getting back to South Bend at 11:30 am. She was on a crying baby flight - no sleep. So by the third quarter's end, she was wet, cold, tired.... feling sick. Me too. Unfortunately, I left the stadium as Washington got down to our 15 or so - up by 5 - or whatever. I loved the game on the radio. Loved the overtime at home on TV. Love this team. Too much stress.... I'm getting sick, or maybe I'd just lost my voice screaming. Anyway, finally warmed up and falling asleep. love this team...

Wildcat won us the game last week, was huge against MSU, and the reason why they shut it down is probably because they spent so much time preparing for it, taking away from their time to prepare for the rest of our offensive looks. It was innefective today and Weis gave up on it pretty early in the game. We'll definitely continue to see the Wildcat this year.

Washington got a break or 2 as well. Roughing the snapper? Really? Good thing our goal line D was up to the challenge. That call could have cost ND the game.

now that i've had a day to let it soak in, this to me is a quality win.

granted it's not against a great team by no means, but still it's a win that really shows the heart of these ND players. i'm so proud of them for fighting with everything they had.

they came away the victors and really showed what kind of team they are.

it's hard to coach up team chemistry. you have to let that grow on it's own....and this team week in and week out are showing more and more that they play for each other.

that'll pay off in the long run and i can understand why weis would be so high on these kinds of wins.

like nuetredomer has said before, these lil pups are growing up.....and its nice to witness. go irish

Just found this on Youtube.

Notice what the Huskies are chanting as they're coming out after halftime. They somehow had knowledge of how the final play would transpire before anyone else! Check it out at 2:14.

Somebody definitely got slammed. Sounds like that guy's going to be alright though. What a classless chant.

Ya, someone else got the end of that boomstick! Next time they might want to tone it down a notch. Especially using the G*%dam at a Catholic University, naughty naughty.
