i saw a team willing to fight for eachother, i saw jimmy a qb who barely runs use his legs to gain some yards and take a huge hit at the end and get back up. I saw a defense that was flying around the field making plays, i see a team that is sick f the criticism and is willing to do whatever it takes to win games.

and then i see a cocky usc team who lost to oregon state and was in a couple close ones with arizona and stanford.

and thats why i see a win for ND.

We will not be able to run against USC and the way Jimmy has been playing late and Floyd being out...USC will put 8 guys in the box and dare JC to beat them. No TD's and a lot of INT's the last couple of weeks for JC makes it very easy to see why you drink way too much koolaid for your own good!

Why would USC put 8 in the box against our run offense??? They could put 6 in the box with their atheltes and stop our run. Anybody's who has seen the Irish play this year knows that we can't run the ball for crap. It's just facts.

Here's why it's so much harder for ND to beat USC than it is for Oregon State and Stanford: USC overlooks bad opponents early in their season all the time, but they NEVER overlook ND. EVER. They are jacked for this game; it's already being played up on local radio this week, as USC has a bye week to get ready for us. (We basically have a bye week as well, but I digress).

If USC didn't have a rivalry w/ us, and if we were at full strength, I'd say we'd have a puncher's chance to upset them. Unfortunately, we are playing them on the road, at less than full strength (our 2 best players gone), in November (when Pete Carroll simply doesn't lose). It simply doesn't look good boys. Did anyone read the BC athlete's comment about ND? He said something like, ND, no matter what their record is, will always be a special game - JUST BECAUSE IT IS ND.

I am still confused....we barely beat a lot smaller Navy team and all the sudden we are going to beat USC. Where is the logic? I watched every minute of the OSU vs. USC game...OSU has A LOT better athletes then we do on both sides of the ball and they looked like a JV squad. AS much as I hate USC we are NO where close to being in their league!!!

Kicks were almost miraculous. Watch them again when you can.

Announcers kept stressing Navy's great comeback from some game this year during the 4th quarter, shortly after ND put in 2nd string on both O and D. Don't ask me which game. I don't give a pee about Navy football.

But coaches and athletes and fans can surely learn and appreciate something from this great game. What a friggen classic.
