Lived down here many years and my Auburn friends and the Auburn crowd is first rate good people. One of them even joked to me about becoming a Notre Dame subway alum for the game. Mentioned something about 'kriptonite' to Alabama-it was cute.

You guys can't be serious...this is the same tiny brain fanbase that awarded themselves "The People's Choice Champions" in 2004, and had a tractor pull National Championship parade. Attention whore move much?

Notre Dame is Notre Dame. You stand alone on pride, tradition and history. Why applaud some jackass fans for celebrating something you earned almost 100 years ago? You're 5-1 vs Bammy, right?

I'd be pissed if our situations were reversed and they put that stupid tiger over the Trojan Warrior face.

Of course it does..it brought to light the character of a desperate program and their fanbase that lost out on the NC game..just as USC did in 2003. I don't recall self awarding ourselves "People's Choice" championship rings either. The AP took care of that.

I like tractor pulls...point?

I thought the shirt was cool...I think I got the history/pride/tradition thing down, but thanks.

I like the concept as well because it sends the elephant fan into an identity crisis if SEC doesn't even want him to win...they will be melting down, I get to laugh, and I didn't have to lift a finger.

the tee shirt is unique and worth owning...

Ah, forgive my arrogance in daring to respond to something that doesn't concern me.

But, it is evident that you have not been subjected to SEC fans trolling your boards..just wait, it will come. At the present, they are so arrogant, they (the entire coattail SEC fanbase) think they will kill Notre Dame on the field.

The shirt is hardly original or different, simply regurgitated to suit this game. The concept has been around for awhile. Nothing new.

Congratulations though, to the Aubies, they've managed to make your big come back moment all about them, and their hated rivalry. They're not as stupid as I thought - target a wealthy fanbase to promote your own agenda.

Princess makes alot of sense. I live smack in the middle of two programs that couldn't fill the student section at ND with their fanbase. Both have managed to show SEC bias and one isnt even a SEC team. The other is a perennial SEC door mat.


She has given us another perspective.

I reviewed my previous post..."Arrogant" wasn't in it...nor was it implied. Besides Arrogant is a label I apply to cocky people that never won them a tractor pull...wait, you prolly didn't cause you don't like them.

I understand SEC fans well enough...no we haven't seen enough sucess as of late to be old hands at the trolling....and yea, being non-affiliated with a conference, the bandwagon at the conference level is pretty funny to all of us

I guess I need to get out more....well beyond the tractor pull. When I say Unique I think its a smaller sample than you are thinking...general concept of "mashup"...sure...but I've not seen the lepretiger, and it will be a conversation piece for sure.

Um...its a tee shirt...its a source of annoyance for the Elephant and the SEC...its quirky and funny. I don't think it reaches the level of obfuscating/Diluting the comeback moment to any of us, or anyone else out there.

I know non-profits and political operatives would love your brand of "framing" an issue, but it is kinda wasted here I think...at least on me.
