SIAP:

Article from WSJ valued 115 CBB programs. ND came in at #104, just behind Marshall. IU #8, Purdue #14, Butler #94. Seems very low, despite the school's indifference to basketball.

What’s Your College-Basketball Team Worth? - WSJ

That is disgusting. I know we aren't a blue-blood by any means, but we have a pretty rich basketball history, so you'd think we'd pony up some cash to support them. ND is definitely not hurting with funds. I don't see it happening soon with the football team being the main priority for new facilities, but it'd be nice to see them throw the basketball team a bone.

Cannot possibly be correct. There is no chance that our adjusted revenue is what they have it listed at.

How the heck is Wiscy above Duke and MSU?

Sadly I believe ND in that neighborhood as the turnout for many of their games is pathetic even this year when they were a great team in the end.

We count Acc tv money as coming from each sport equally. However men's basketball tv rights are where the deal derives it's value so tack on about two million to our revenuem

My sister always called Sherman "Melman" since she thought he looked and moved awkwardly like the giraffe from the movie Madagascar.

To be honest that Sherman rant is the epitome of why the team was awful last year and saw a huge improvement this year. I don't know much about EA but Sherman was an awful senior leader and seems incredibly immature. Glad the young guys got to see some real leadership with Grant and Pat.

In terms of revenue generating sports, I had a class with Swarbrick at ND where he said that basketball is usually the hit or miss on being the second sport that actually brings in money. They bleed a lot from sports like hockey even if they are successful, unsurprisingly.
