Heres another one... Jarvis Jones, a LB who played his freshman year before having a neck injury, is set to transfer to Georgia.

Per ESPN

Former ESPNU 150 linebacker Jarvis Jones of Carver (Columbus, Ga.) has decided to transfer to Georgia from Southern California.

Jones also considered switching to Florida State, Clemson and North Carolina. Rated No. 6 at outside linebacker in the Class of 2009 by ESPNU, he originally signed with the Trojans over Georgia, Florida, LSU and Texas.

"I'm going to shut everything down," he told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. "I'm definitely a Georgia Bulldog now. I'm not looking for any attention and going all over the place like I did last time. This is home. I'm good."

A 6-foot-3, 235-pound standout, Jones played in the first eight games of his freshman season (2009) with the Trojans before suffering a neck injury. He finished with 13 tackles and 1.5 tackles for loss.

USC doctors would not clear Jones for spring practice this year and he was granted a requested release by the Trojans. However, he was medically cleared by UGA doctors on Tuesday.

According to NCAA transfer rules, Jones would sit out this upcoming season as part of the Class of 2010 and have three years of eligibility remaining. He may petition since he was released by USC for medical reasons.

My friend who works at USC said that all of USC's commits made it to campus today (even Ambles), except for Sentrell Henderson and a guy with a Hawaiian/Samoan name that I can't remember and am too lazy to look up. TIFWIW, but my friend is pretty dialed in and hasn't steered me wrong once with SC info.

Now, I know he's not coming to ND, and in that I'm glad because his rapping dad is a punk and that family sounds like more headaches than he's worth. But still, him not going to SC puts a smile on my face! :gbanana:

I wrote this in another thread, but perhaps it belongs here:

Well, I know a lady in the athletic dept there, and she's always been flawless with her info, even though I'm an ND fan. She told me yesterday that the word is that there will be at least one more transfer before it's all said and done, and probably more than one. That's what she's hearing, but she wouldn't tell me the names of the players. Still makes me smile though!
And as Terry said, LB/DE Glen Stanley has decided to ask out of his LOI and will play in Florida instead. To go with Henderson and LB Soma Vainuku, who hasn't cleared admissions, that's 3 kids who they have lost or possibly will lose out on, plus the transfers of Jordan Campbell and Jarvis Jones (who wasnt cleared by SC doctors to play).

May not seem like much, but remember how their team wilted in the 2nd halves of games in the 2nd half of the season (starting with ND and showing itself in all its glory vs. Stanford and Oregon) in large part due to their injuries and lack of depth. Well, that depth has taken a serious hit, and hopefully will continue to do so. And with the scholarship hits that they'll inevitably face (I don't think they'll adhere to the scholly losses this year while they appeal), these lack-of numbers is going to bite them in the arse...

Well.....another SC transfer...and you;re never going to guess who: Byron Moore! He has just enrolled in a local JC, per 2 SC sites.

Like I said, my friend in Heritgae Hall has never steered me wrong...she said at least 2 more transfers after Campbell, and this makes it number 2, with hopefully more to come.

I'll update with more news when I hear it...

I don't care if they lose everyone and have to suit up dorks from the math department, I am still going to enjoy kicking the snot out of them for years to come. All those bitch ass SC fans will whine about how many players they lost, but I will just smile and enjoy the moment.

Wonder how many SC flags we will see on cars around LA and OC this season?

Done deal! Scout confirmed it with his dad. All I've read so far from the dad was that it wasn't anything bad about SC, that he just wanted to a fresh start.

He had a great spring and he might have started as a nickle back this year, so regardless of how they want to spin this, it AT LEAST hurts their depth, if not much Moore. Wish he had chosen ND...kid has been balling at SC in their practices. I'm sure he wishes he had chosen SC as well...

Any chance we can still accept him as a transfer if he JUCO's first? I know it is against policy, but wouldn't this be a special case?

Moore's dad picked up the ND hat...only to stare at it and flick it to the ground before choosing the USC hat last NSD. That really bummed me out until Teo chose ND about 45 minutes later.

I can certainly understand why you say that, but his dad is actually a really great guy littlerick. He was great and upfront to all the recruiting services, and had nothing but great things to say about ND. He even told other recruits (in particular the safety from the same high school who ended up at Washington...I forget his name!) great things about ND after they chose USC.

I agree, I CAN'T STAND the whole hat thing, and that one in particular pissed me off, because they tricked me for a second and I yelled a 'Yeah!' before getting pissed. I thought it was his uncle that did it, but it was a while ago. Regardless, in this case, it wasn't a true testament to the character of his dad...

EDIT: That was his high school coach, Manuel Douglas, who helped him with the hat trick.

Here's an article from wearesc.com:

WeAreSC.com - Byron Moore to leave USC

A snippet:
Moore spent the 2009 season as a redshirt and was primed to play a bigger role from the safety spot this year. He showed tremendous ball presence and a knack for making plays in spring ball but he also faced plenty of competition in the future for playing time. Fellow first-year safeties T.J. McDonald and Jawanza Starling were listed as the starters on the end of spring depth chart. Moore was also having to adjust to a new coaching staff after being recruited to USC by Pete Carroll. Whatever the reason may be, Moore looked at the situation and decided to head elsewhere in search of "a fresh start".

here is another player that was straight-out lied to by PTC and Lame Kiffin. They kept telling recruit after recruit that nothing is going to happen (sanctions) when they knew full well that they were guilty.

Its one thing to be wrong in giving advice out to recruits, its totally something else when its a premeditated lie.

Wearesc.com has a thread stating that LB Jordan Campbell is transferring from USC. Not a terrible loss because he was in Kiffin's doghouse from the get-go, even getting suspended for a bit from all team activities. Sucks for him because he has 2 huge USC tatoos LOL.
QUOTE]

I guess that he could attempt to contact Spurrier and seek a transfer to the Univ. of So. Carolina and make it 'somewhat' fit!?! :)

Yeah but Jiffen will just tell him he will spend the rest of his life pumping gas for going to South Carolina

...and it only gets better.

i cant wait to hear Kiffin - he will be saying that everything at USC is full steam ahead, and how these xfers are not a big deal.

He is starting to remind me of everyones favorite Iraqi Information Minister, remember this guy:

Maybe Lame Kiffin is so used to operating in the gray area, that he doesnt even what the truth is anymore.

Isn't this great TD? Every guy they've lost they've had an excuse for, but this one is really hurting SC fans. Shoemate went to the same high schol that current recruit Troy Niklas goes, and since one of my brothers went to that school I follow them closely. This kid was a STUD in high school, and a Trojan fan forever. As soon as they offered his sophomore year he committed. The fans really liked him. And by all accounts, he's a really good kid.

Even better, this is what he said just a couple of weeks ago, which is making SC fans grip even harder about other players:

"Nothing can break us," he said. "The only thing that can break us is ourselves and we know that. We are just taking this as an opportunity to get better and live up to the expectations of our fans, family members and each other."

Nothing can break them, except sanctions and the need for playing time!

The cheaters are getting their just rewards...

Another Trojan catching the transfer train out of LA? | CollegeFootballTalk.com

back up wr's are leaving maybe that explains why they keep recruiting WR's despite their glaring need on the lines.

This news about Brandon Carswell is gaining more and more steam, and don't be surprise if news breaks today or tomorrow.

It's not really a big hit considering RoJo and Bryce were going to start, being backed by 3 really talented freshmen in Woods, Prater and Ambles. PT is most likely not going to be there, as he wasn't recruited by this staff, didn't make a huge impression on them in the spring, and the freshmen have looked great so far in workouts. It'll be a good move for him if he does choose to go to a pass-happy offense in Cincy to join his buddy Videl Hazleton.

And even though it won't hurt them most likely..it always makes me smile to see the Trojans lose someone...

WR Travon Patterson is leaving for Colorado.

...

He played in 7 games last year 2 carries for 15 yds and 3 catches for 8 yds per NCAA stats.

With Prater and Woods arrival he was likely to see even less action. Still it's one less body on the roster.

Yup, Patterson gone, and Carswell tweeted yesterday that he was going to Cinci, starting Tuesday, and that he was excited to go.

Neither player made a big impact like they were expected to, esp Patterson who would wow everyone in the spring games only to be non-existent during the regular season. SC fans aren't shedding any tears over these 2, as they have 3 stud freshmen WRs coming in. But like BGIF said...another body lost, in this case, 2 bodies lost. Their depth chart at the WR position looks like this:

Ronald Johnson - Senior
Brice Butler - Soph
De' Von Fluornoy Soph
Kyle Prater - Freshman
Markieth Ambles - Freshman
Robert Woods - Freshman
Steve Blackhart - Soph (walk-on)
Robie Boyer - Soph (walk-on)

Conceivably, if 2 guys get injured, walk-ons are looking at playing time as well playing minutes on special teams, which Carswell did. And you're looking at untested (although talented) freshmen to play MAJOR minutes. All 3 have had their moments in 7-on-7's, wowing at times, but of course, disappointing at others. Prater is a beast and makes incredible catches, but has dropped a lot of balls. Woods has a great rapport with Barkley, but has had trouble getting out of jam coverage. And Ambles started off great but I haven't heard much from him lately.

This group will dominate in a few years, esp with their 3 stud commits they are going to get this year (Arnett, Blackwell, Farmer), but this year could be a struggle. If Rojo gets injured, their WR core will be hurting IMO...

They definitely have an elite set of Wide Receiver's--- the real question for me is do they have a O Line to protect Barkley and give him the time to get the ball to these stud receivers? There lies the opportunity to expose SC weakness...

Carswell played in 9 games with 5 catches for 21 yds and no scores.

Jordan Cameron 6-5 220 is a BYU basketball transfer that DNP in '07-'09. He's listed on USC roster as a TE. Phil Steele said he had a good spring.

Doesn't appear that Cameron has ever played in a college game.

According to Adam's Sports Blog: Jordan Cameron heads home

It's a bizarre story: apparently, while under scholarship to play basketball at BYU, Cameron makes an unofficial visit to USC and works out with his little brother in front of Pete Carroll. Pete then offers Jordan a scholarship on the spot to play tight end for the USC Trojans. Reportedly Carroll claimed that if he could put 20 pounds on Cameron's frame, Cameron could be a first day draft pick.

Whaaaaa?!

First of all, what kind of a shady coach recruits a kid who is under scholarship at another school for another sport? Cameron was not released from his scholarship before he worked out with USC coaches, and that is a blatant violation of NCAA rules.

Second, how good a football player is Jordan Cameron? I mean, this guy has got to be the second coming to impress USC coaches that much. USC is going to contend for the national championship next year, and they offered a no-name basketball player a full scholarship. How good is he? And if he's that good, why wasn't he recruited for BYU football? Weird.
