"The four-star (Hutchings) also said some Notre Dame commits, including five-star linebacker Jaylon Smith and even recent USC de-commit Eddie Vanderdoes have talked to him about playing for the Irish."

Pete Sampson made a thread a month ago we would raid USC's class and we have. Redfield will be Irish, Vanderdoes decommitted. LaRue wants to visit, Hutch might visit, we are getting Prevot last visit, almost got Hawkins to flip, talked to Ty Isaac. Amazes me and don't think you understand how big that is. USC and ND usually have some good recruiting battles and we don't win a whole lot of them. But we are toying with USC class which might have been different case 4-5 years ago. I still find it hilarious that Lane told recruits they would never lose to ND.

I agree I am amazed at what they are doing. Literally walking up and hand picking kids. Beating them on the field and off.

This is what makes ND so special. Kids go to USC because it's LA, babes, and they are very good. Any slip, and the appeal will go away some. Other then maybe the local SoCal kids, do recruits really fall in love with the University or the "cool" talking points?

When a recruit picks ND, it's because of the school, tradition, the "mom" factor, and the "I want to be a part of the resurrection". Now that the last part is here, everyone better watch out!

Yeah, SC sells a lot more than you are giving it credit for. They have a lot in common with ND in the sense they have incredible tradition, they put a ton of guys in the league, they are a private school, and they offer a FANTASTIC education. Difference in that education of course is that they don't actually educate and graduate a lot of their players, but they don't talk about that LOL. Now, you have a lot of guys that don't care about that stuff and choose USC for the reasons you mentioned, but as much as I hate them they do have other things to offer that a attractive to recruits.

And I wouldn't call their class imploding just yet. They put on incredible OVs and they have some HUGE ones coming up. Yeah, guys are looking elsewhere but they might be replaced by even bigger studs. And with guys like Sua Cravens and several other 5 stars fully committed, they're still doing fine. Now, if they lose the bowl game, **** could get real!

Marquise Lee might not play, its a pity they didnt get a more competent team in their bowl game than GT because a loss would definitely make Lane's seat hotter

I'm sure the story was posted here somewhere but I just heard about the team showing up late to that dinner (if at all). Good luck convincing parents that you can run a team Lane

This Sun Bowl is a comedy of errors. And Lane Kiffin looks like a nerdy air traffic control guy.

I burned 24 confidence points on USC to watch them lose.

Remember when we all talked about how unethical it was for coaches to poach our recruits?

USC stood up the Sun Bowl banquet. Did not even show up while Georgia Tech was there for the ceremonies.

After this debacle, Kiffin should be gone.

“@gmartlive: Spoke to about half of USC's committed recruits at the Army All-American. Embarrassment is probably the best word to sum up their feelings.”

“@TJamesNDI: RT @gmartlive: Jalen Ramsey said, "I can see someone de-commiting with that loss, but I hope no one does." #USC”
