I remember Sullivan hiking it over Clausen’s head among other things. I get that Jimmy was a douche. I remember tailgating at the UNC @ ND game in 2014. We chatted up an ND alum who was a student-trainer for the team. Needless to say she & her fellow student-trainers weren’t allowed to touch Jimmy. She tried not to bash him too much but he was so coddled when he got there that it was impossible.

Still, you don’t do what Sullivan did assuming it was purposeful which was the rumor. Sully went on to a nice NFL career despite that 2007 season and was even named to the Pro Bowl IIRC.

Didn’t he purposely snap poorly or let his guy go so Clausen would get hit? I do remember being surprised at his success in the NFL as he was so poor in that ‘07 season. Seems like Jimmy wasn’t the most likable guy, especially as a freshman.

I remember the 07 season well. What a shitshow that was in every sense of the word. An Oline that didn’t block for Clausen, Demetrius Jones leaving the team before Michigan, Chris Stewart quitting and coming back, us going with a read option offense for a quarter before scrapping it, 0-5 start. I mean they could make a 30 for 30 on that year and I’d watch. There was definitely some things going on and Weis lost that locker room early.
