clearly you picked up a fair amount of bigotry along the wayI am typing this in Utah. Tell me more about the place I've lived in for the last 18 years.
UF won’t schedule us again now that the SEC moved to 9 games. They’ll keep their annual fsu matchup, but they dropped us as an annual opponent years ago when the sec moved to 8 conference gamesTo their credit, Florida already plays Miami and Florida State, plus an SEC schedule that includes an annual game with Georgia.
I think if we could get our heads around the idea of hosting on Thanksgiving weekend half the time, an annual Miami season-ender would be awesome. They don't have anyone they traditionally play that weekend.
The Florida P4's carry their weight in non-conference play as far as im concerned. Happy to get games locked in with them but no judgment if they ever said "no thanks our hands are full"UF won’t schedule us again now that the SEC moved to 9 games. At this point it exists solely to use for narrative building against us, which thankfully Nicole just blew up in these assholes faces by revealing they all agreed to it over a year ago.If I recall correctly, the MOU only matters if the CFP stays at 12 or goes to 14. It is likely to move to 16, at which point the MOU would have to be renegotiated. I've said a bunch of times that the MOU is not really any protection at all ("I promise to give you $20 if I feel like giving you $20") and obviously it appears to antagonize other schools. Far better than the MOU would scrapping the committee/autobids.
I have reached the point where I say WE WILL GIVE UP FOOTBALL BEFORE WE JOIN A CONFERENCE
Give the middle finger to everyone
say we will play all of you fat cats
show up or show yellow
citing the unwillingness to become a semi- pro organization.

...through two years of the 12-team playoff there have been a few unintended consequences people didn’t consider when they were put on paper and needed to be fixed once people realized how it would play out. I think this will go a similar direction.
Next year at Provo. I wonder if that game will be slotted mid-season or near the end? The 1st 5 weeks for ND are scheduled already.FUSC
But I'm really excited to play BYU next year. Their fans couldn't stop talking shit about us "ducking them" because of the ESPN-induced middle finger. Now we get to play them and so help me god, we better lay a 40 spot on them. Denbrock better have the offense incredibly sharp to start the season.
Who does BYU lose? Who is coming back?
Ignorance is an excuse, got it. These assholes are such disingenuous pricks.
Maybe. They likely overlooked that their playoff rules forced in a James Madison University.Wolken is basically sticking to his story and believes the MOU with regards to ND was just an overlooked little detail, one he calls “a throwaway line” none of these ADs could have possibly understood or remembered.
Huge win for billable hours if signing contracts and negotiating for years doesn’t need attention to “throwaway lines”

They might have overlooked the possibility that the ACC champion can be an 8-5 team. The ACC had come within one score a few times but it never had happened. And no one is going to admit oh we never thought of that. Not really. The MOU addresses inclusion of the ACC Champion. Under the agreement, Duke would have been in over JMU. So no they didn’t overlook it, it was just a year behind in enforcement (same as NDs portion)

Assuming you are outside of Utah, growing up LDS in Utah is different than doing it outside of Utah. Shoot, it's my understanding there are big differences between Utah and Salt Lake counties.I guess I’m just from a ghetto area bc a lot of my childhood friends are LDS and many went to BYU,… almost all were the ones corrupting everyone growing up and today they’re all living good lives with families but definitely are not straight edge types,… at all. 🤷♂️
Seriously, go on...clearly you picked up a fair amount of bigotry along the way
Legally? Not a chance.
They have rules about fornication, no way drinking is ever "allowed" on BYU's campus.
you look in the rules and bylaws of states cities and frankly universities you will find some very interesting things that no one cares about or even tries to obeyAssuming you are outside of Utah, growing up LDS in Utah is different than doing it outside of Utah. At least, that's what ever single LDS or LDS adjacent person has expressed to me. I'm sure there are others on this board who are better plugged in and provide better context about the dynamic.
Seriously, go on...
big·ot·ry - obstinate or unreasonable attachment to a belief, opinion, or faction, in particular prejudice against a person or people on the basis of their membership of a particular group.
I said this in response to someone asking about drinking on BYU's campus and you claim is bigotry. After re-reading BYU's honor code, I'm wondering which part of my above post is bigoted?
Or don't respond, take the L for an incorrect assumption about me, and move on.
Tip for everyone about Utah, if you are talking about drinking in this state pre-2002 olympics, you are talking about drinking in an entirely different place. If you are talking about drinking in this state pre-2010ish you are talking about a different place. If you are talking about drinking prior to the most recent round of alcohol law changes, you are talking about a different place.
The blue laws I grew up with in CT (eg. only from package stores, no buying after 8pm) were more restrictive than current Utah law. That said, if you come out here, the legal limit is .05
