I'm not worried about the staff taking Agholor, I'm worried about what this might say about where we stand with Nelson. I also worry about the addition of too many receivers alienating the ones we already do have. Taking potentially 6 receivers seems like a lot.

The staff will never take 6 receivers.

We're taking 5 max, and that's with the unlikely case that Agholor and Treggs commit.

I think the staff should have held off on offers to CJ Proise and John Turner until after this game. I'm not saying I know more about the staff or anything, I think they probably feel this way too. No one could fathom how huge this weekend was going to be for recruiting.

People also need to realize that Greenberry has the skillset to be an elite safety prospect (as does Agholor) so that's why you can be a little more comfortable taking "5" WRs.

For the bajillionth time CJ Prosise is a very legit prospect and top 20 safety, who also has absolutely ridiculous ball skills and could play WR. It was a great pickup to take him when we did. I guarantee you the staff does NOT feel that way.

I know it's 'bad' to not like an offer, and I could be wrong but I definitely didn't see 'elite' when he was at the 7 on 7 with the other recruits (I think it was gridiron kings).

Like I said, I don't even think Kelly could, back then, imagine the potential of this recruiting weekend.

Shaq, Poole, Tee, Darby, all better IMO (and pretty much everyone else's).

Tough call at this point. Payton seems to be doing nothing more than coming for the game with his Cali boys. His interest is low. I'd rather have Darboh then Payton.

It has nothing to do with being taboo, it has everything to do with being wrong. Just flat out, utterly wrong. CJ is a borderline 4 on two services and a top 20 S... have you seen our safety depth chart after next year? It isn't pretty. In fact, it's downright scary considering that Eilar Hardy tore up his knee. We needed to take at least 3 safeties this year and had a chance to grab a top 20 guy early in the cycle... and you think we should've passed?

A Virginia kid (from the underrated part/league of Virginia, by the way) with offers from Virginia, Virginia Tech, North Carolina and Maryland. All of the local schools wanted him... but you don't. The UNC staff, which has demonstrated that it knows a thing or two about picking defensive prospects, wanted him... but you don't.

And you're basing this on what you saw in 7on competitions? His highlights? What exactly? Because he has great film, average speed, great ball skills/hands, and in those 7on competitions you're mentioning made a couple fantastic plays that I saw, including one unreal catch for an INT in the endzone. And I don't ever remember seeing him get beat.

And you would just straight up pass on both him and Turner leaving us with one safety prospect who is going to be a converted QB. Wow. Good plan.

That's right, I was about to say the same thing after I saw his post.

I don't think some realize how good CJ is. He might not be an elite player yet but he's a very good one but what he does have is elite skills and tools and once his play catches up with his talent he can be scary good.

It is very unlikely we end up with all of those guys, but it is likely ND will land at least 1. You dont have a shot if you do not try though. I know a lot of posters say that Treggs, Shaq, Banner, Keith Marshall and Armstead are not coming to ND but the staff clearly thinks otherwise. Maybe the team gets none but not trying is quitter mentality.
