I think ND still pulls a stunner before it's all over. Two of our biggest recruits are on campus and no longer need to be recruited. This staff has shown that they will work harder than any staff in the country on the recruiting trail. With a couple of our big fish already swimming in our pond, I look for the staff to turn their efforts to some uncommitted or already committed studs. We have nothing to lose and very little room left so I expect a homerun or a strikeout. I look for:

A Miles Shuler visit to still take place on January 29th. Miles spent a lot of time with Stephon Tuitt and Ishaq Williams during the week of the AAA game. I look for a potential steal and a possible Shuler, Huggins package deal.

Without a doubt. Savon will also be surrounded by ND players when he makes his decision. The Atkinson brothers, Hegarty, and Stephon Tuitt. If we land Savon on the 28th, I would say Miles would follow him. I just don't think this whole thing is over.

1. The staff has been recruiting Hounshell and Niklas for hard months. Their decisions and recruitment have zero to do with Tuitt

2. ND runs a 3-4, the pass rushers are the OLB's, saying Lynch is more needed because he is a pass rushing DE is like saying a Safety is more needed because he is a run stuffer.

Also the roster is at the 85 limit already. There is wiggle room for 1 or 2 more if absolutely needed but technically we have 0 spots left

A few things

Not sure if anyone cleared it up yet but i remember someone saying Shuler would visit. He was scheduled for an OV before he committed to Rutgers. He WILL NOT be visiting ND

I believe Niklas is still set for his OV next weekend (1/29), while Cam and Okatcha will be in this weekend for an OV (1/21).

It does not appear ND will be getting a RB this year as the priority will be keeping the class in tact rather than still pursuing players.

Tuitt's recruitment is not over yet but to make people feel better, he will be in Texas the week of signing day with Hegarty and the Atkinson Bros.

So in summery, the class is pretty much done with Niklas a possibility.

Man! I have got to make the time to stay updated about the Notre Dame nation!

Been so busy with work i hardly ever get on this site anymore.... its been way too long! Come in to find we have signed both a rivals top 3 rush end and strong side end, and have verbals from 3 more DE. Talk about filling needs along the defensive line!
