Lucas was/is a good man. He taught his son right. He was really progressive dealing with outsiders and foreigners.

I had a professor ask this question a little while ago. It kind of shocked me how much I got out of it.
Lucas McCain kind of shaped me as a person! Although I'm kind of a mess, I still like to think I have a little of the Rifleman with me...
